Random Hamilton Fact of the Day...
Nicholas Fish was one of Hamilton’s oldest and dearest friends. They both studied at King’s, fought at Yorktown, and they stayed close for the rest of Hamilton’s life. Fish’s first son was born in 1808 (four years after Hamilton’s death), and Fish decided to name him after Hamilton.
Yep. Hamilton Fish.
Hamilton Fish went on to be Governor of New York, a senator, arrange prisoner exchanges for the Union during the Civil War, and serve as Secretary of State for Ulysses S. Grant.
