“I have no weakness!”, Lee Burr!
Reblogs and likes would be much appreciated (:
“We need to target the man’s weaknesses”, Jefferson announced to the other two men that afternoon, “Hit him where it hurts most. Burr, so you happen to know any of Hamilton’s weaknesses?”. Madison and Jefferson turned to Burr, knowing that he used to have quite a strong friendship with Hamilton.
Burr groaned softly, “Thats the problem, he is his own weakness. His whole personality is weak”. Burr didn’t actually mean that, he just said it to impress the other two. What he didn’t know however, was that Hamilton was spying on the conversation from afar, and had heard every word.
Later that day, Burr walked over to Hamilton’s house. Running against him politically was difficult, as he didn’t want their friendship to end. He knocked twice, and Hamilton answered. The man wore a frown as soon as he saw who was at the door.
“Um, Alexander”, he said awkwardly, knowing by the look Hamilton was giving him that he was mad, but not knowing why. “Aaron Burr, sir”, Hamilton responded dryly, “Shallowest of men. What is it?” “I just want to catch up”, Burr stated, “How have you been, Alexander?”. “Strong”, Hamilton replied, “Strong as ever”. Burr smiled faintly, “Iv’e been feeling rather weak lately actually, working with Madison and Jefferson is rather draining”.
“Really?”, Hamilton said, “Because it sounded today like you were getting on just fine!”
“What do you mean?”, Burr asked, genuinely confused.
Hamilton eyed him with an ice-cutting glare: “I heard you call me weak”
Burr suddenly snapped. Of course, Hamilton was spying on his meetings! He shook his head, “I only said that to impress the other two. I’m really sorry, I meant nothing by it”
“And why should I believe you?”
“Because I am your friend Alexander, thats why”
Hamilton turned his head away, considering this for a moment. He sighed, “Fine, I believe you. Come in Burr”
The two drank coffee at Hamilton’s dining table, chatting about life and how it was going for the two of them.
“Also, it’s good that I said what I said”, Burr said, stirring a spoon in his mug, “Because otherwise, I would have had to tell them your actual weaknesses”. Hamilton crossed his arms, “Like what?” Burr grinned, “Your fear of Owls!” Hamilton chuckled and shook his head, “And what would they do with that information Burr? Hide an owl under my pillow? I don’t even think that Jefferson knows what an owl is!”. The two men laughed, they enjoyed chatting like this. “And if you told them that, I’d just tell them about your weaknesses!”, Hamilton exclaimed. Burr crossed his arms, mimicking Hamilton’s actions from earlier, “What weaknesses? I don’t have any!”.
“Oh really?”
“Yeah!”
“You sure?”
“Name one!”
Hamilton grinned cheekily, a light sparkling in his eyes, which made Burr nervous instantly.
“Uh, Alexander, what are you thinking?”
Hamilton smiled brighter, “Oh, nothing. I’m just thinking about how I could demonstrate one of your weaknesses right now”.
Burr nervously stood up, “Which one?”
Hamilton stood up to be at eye level with him: “How ticklish you are”.
As soon as the words left the mans mouth, Burr ran.
He darted out the door, and up Hamilton’s staircase. He had a huge smile of anticipation on his face as he ran, knowing that eventually, Ham would have to catch up to him. He made it to the end of a dead-end corridor, and cussed under his breath. Hamilton grinned evily, “Uh-oh Burr, looks like you’ve been cornered!”
Burr sighed, “Just, please don’t go for my ribs, okay?”
Hamilton grinned wider, had Burr done that on purpose? Surely the man was smart enough to know that asking somebody not to tickle a certain spot would only make the other person more encouraged to do so. Yes, as it turns out, the man was smart enough. He blushed deeply, knowing what was to come. It was super stressful hanging out with Madison and Jefferson, this would be a good stress reliever. Hamilton slowly creeped over to Burr menacingly. “So, you have no weakness, huh?”.
Burr was getting impatient; “Just do it Alexander!”
As soon as the words left his lips, he cupped a hand over his mouth. Crap, he should not have said that. He felt like sinking into the floor.
“Do what?”
“L-let me go?”
“Huh! Nice try!”
And with that, Hamilton went straight for the kill, Burr’s ribs. He squealed and began shrieking with laughter instantly.
“AHAHAHAHAHA NOHOHOHO AHAHAHAHALEHEHEX!”
“Yes Burr?”, Hamilton inquired, wiggling his fingers between the ribs.
“NOHOHOHO!”
“Wow!”, Hamilton remarked, “For someone who doesn’t have any weaknesses, you sure seem pretty weak right now!”
“NOHOHOHO SHIHIHIHIT!”
“Hey!”, Hamilton exclaimed, “Language!”
He lifted his fingers, much to Burr’s unpleasant pleasant surprise. “Swearing will not be tolerated in my house!”, Hamilton remarked, crossing his arms.
“It’s, it’s not such a bad word”, Burr reasoned.
Hamilton smiled cheekily and gently pushed Burr to the ground and grinned down at him wickedly. “I repeat, swearing will not be tolerated in this house! Now, I ask you, how many ribs does a man have?”
Burr’s eyes widened, “No Alexander, don’t-”
Hamilton wiggled his finger over Burr’s top left rib, “One”.
“NOHOHOHO AHAHAHA!”
“Two”
“DAHAHAHAHMNIT HAHAHAH!”
“Three....hey, stop moving around so much, you’ll make me lose count!”
“I CAHAHAHAN’T!”
“Oh well”, Hamilton sighed with a shrug, “Too bad, I guess we’ll have to start again from on-”
“What is going on here?”, Eliza asked from the other end of the hall, arms crossed and an eyebrow raised. Crap, Burr hoped that she hadn’t seen that. He softly caught his breath as Hamilton turned around to face his wife. “Oh, hi honey, I didn’t realise you’d be back so early. I didn’t hear you come in.”
Eliza let out a sarcastic chuckle, “Oh, I’m not surprised that you didn’t hear me over Burr shrieking with laughter! What have you done to the poor man?”
Burr blushed harder, “Erm, nothing, miss Hamilton”. Eliza just smiled at that, “Oh, don’t be embarrassed Burr, it’s not your fault. I’m sorry, my husband can get a little out of control at times”. “Hey!”, Hamilton whined in his defence, “He told me he had no weaknesses, and I thought it my duty to prove him wrong!” Eliza just nodded her head, “Well, I’ll leave you men to it”.
“What?!”, Burr cried.
“Oh, you heard me”, Eliza said with a smirk, “If my husband is tickling you to tears to prove a point, I will let him do it”. Eliza swung around on her heels and left.
Burr looked up at Alexander, who had a dumbfounded expression on his face, before it turned mischievous.
“Well”, he said, “You heard my wife! Back to one!”
“No-AHAHAHAHA NOHOHOHO!”
“One”
“STOHOHOHOP!”
“Really?”, Hamilton asked, ”Why would I stop, I’m only up to one!”
“NOHOHOHO!”
“Plus, I don’t even think you want me to stop anyway”, he teased, spidering his fingers up down the other mans ribs and torso.
Burr hated to admit it, but the man was right.
The tickling continued for quite some time; Hamilton switching between pokes and light squeezes and spidering and clawing every few seconds, making it impossible to predict his next move. It tickled like hell, and all that Burr could do was let go and laugh. Yet still, it got to be a little too much after a while, and Hamilton seemed to notice, because he stopped.
Burr sat up, panting, and Hamilton lifted him to his feet. “Need a drink?”, he offered. Burr just shook his head, giggles still escaping his lips. “Nohoh, juhust coffee”.
“Just coffee?”, Hamilton clarified in disbelief.
Burr nodded, “Just coffee”
Hamilton softly nudged his side, making him squeak, “Theres another weakness of yours Burr, coffee!”
Was this long enough? Please give feedback!
