Friday Morning: 9:00 am
The conversations between customers filled the café where I worked. The strong smell of the coffee and baked goods flew around the room, creating a sweet scent. I rolled up the sleeves of my red sweater as I put the biscuits in the oven. My boss -Michael- walked through the back door of the restaurant. “Morning, Y/N,” he said. I closed the oven, waving to him. He took his apron off of the hook and tied it around his waist. “How’s today?” Michael asked. I shrugged and handed a customer their coffee. “Same old, same old,” I replied, earning a small smile from him. I grabbed a tray and set a cup of coffee, tea, and two chocolate croissants. Michael set table three cards on top of the tray. I gave him a thankful smile before walking over to the table.
An older couple sat at the back of the room, they looked up from their books and smiled. Giana and Jared have been coming to this café since they were students at Belgrave, they come here every year for their anniversary. “Here is your tea,” I said, setting it in front of Giana. “And your coffee sir,” I said and put it beside Jared’s book. I set the plate of baked goods down at the middle of their table. “Thank you, Y/N,” Giana said, taking a sip of her tea. “Oh! and Happy Anniversary,” I said, clasping my hands. The couple looked up at me, wearing toothy grins. I set down the checkbook and walked over to the counter.
I glanced at the couple and saw Jared holding his wife’s hand, I wished for a relationship like that with Hamish. For over a year now, Hamish and I had been secretly dating. Lilith was the only person that knew, so far she hasn’t told anyone. Recently my boyfriend had been acting different, almost like he was hiding something rather then being in the Knights and The Order. After about eight hours of working, it was time for me to end my shift. I grabbed my backpack from the cubby near the kitchen. I took off my apron and set it on the rack. “See you tomorrow Michael,” I said. He looked up from the table and waved me goodbye.
I opened the front door of the café, feeling the cold night air on my arms. I rubbed the sides of them as I walked over to my white car. I grabbed my keys, unlocking my car. I sighed as the warm air conditioning warmed me up. After settling into my car I made my way to the den where I usually met Hamish and the others.

(Time Skip: Two weeks, Friday afternoon - 3:00 pm)
Usually at the end of the week, we close early to have a fresh start the next day. I sprayed one of the wooden tables with a disinfectant as the customer's leave the café. I coughed from the strong smell of bleach from the cleaning spray. I wiped the table down with a clean towel then threw it into the trashcan. Michael flipped through his phone as he changed the music on the speakers. “You’re free to go, Y/N/N,” Michael said, putting his phone into the charger. I gave him a thumbs up and grabbed my backpack, doing my usual routine after my shift ends.
The thought of Hamish’s secretive manners had been bothering me all day and week. At first I pushed it aside, not really paying attention to it. Lilith had even taken notice of it. I sat on my bed just doing some Chemistry homework. A knock sounded from my bedroom door, breaking me from my concentration. “Come in!” I said. Lilith slowly opened the door with a blank expression. She looked as if she had seen a ghost.
I glanced at my sister, confused. Lilith sighed and closed the door behind her before turning back to me. “Everything alright?” I questioned, closing my Chemistry book. There was a short pause between the two of us. “Lil,” I said, standing up from my bed. “I’m so sorry,” Lilith said. I furrowed my brows at my sisters apology. “Sorry about what?” I inquired. She sighed and sat down on the chair at my desk. “Hamish’s cheating on you with Vera,” Lilith said, breaking the silence once more. I shook my head in disbelief. “No, no you’re wrong,” I said, “How can he? We’ve been keeping this a relationship secret for a year!”
Lilith gave me a sympathetic smile and stood up from the chair. Multiple questions were flying throughout my head, trying to understand what my sister had just said. “How do you know?” I asked. “I overheard him and Vera talking in the temple,” Lilith said.
“Well how does that relate to him sleeping with her?” I questioned, fiddling with my fingers. “They were talking about their last ‘sexual encounter’,” Lilith replied. I felt my knees buckle, causing me to fall onto my bed in a sitting position. I stared at the ground with my mouth agape. Lilith stood there not knowing what to do.
There was a silent gap between the two of us again. The hum of my music from my computer was all we heard as we sat there. I picked up my phone and slipped it into my back pocket. Standing up from the bed, I put on my jacket before leaving my room. Lilith ran down the stairs after me. “Y/N/N!” Lilith yelled. I tore open the front door and saw Hamish sitting out on the porch, sipping on a margarita. “What the fuck do you think you’re doing!” I exclaimed, standing in front of Hamish.
He furrowed his eyebrows and looked down at his drink. Lilith, Randall and Jack rushed outside, standing behind me. I let my silver eyes shine at Hamish, my claws retracting from my fingers. Lilith set her hands on my shoulders and pulled me back. “What’s going on?” Jack asked. “This little bitch has been sleeping around with Vera!” I yelled, pointing to my ‘boyfriend’. Hamish’s eyes widened with surprise, he set his drink on the table beside. My sister slowly let go of my shoulders. “They’re dating, or were dating,” Lilith said as she crossed her arms. “Can you guys give Ham-bitch and I a moment?” I asked, turning around to look at the three of them.
They nodded their heads and quickly left Hamish and I alone. I stepped away from him with my hands on my hips, letting a tear slide down the side of my face. “Since when is it okay to sleep with someone else, who isn’t your fucking girlfriend?” I said, crossing my arms. Hamish sighed and pinched the area between his brows.
“I’m sorry,” was all he said. “You’re what?” I retorted, “That’s all you have to say?”
My ‘boyfriend’ lowered his head and shook it, scratching the back of his neck. He didn’t say a single word. Hamish kept his mouth in a thin line, preventing himself from speaking. “You’re not even going to say anything?” I said, “Not even an explanation?” Hamish looked up at me with tears sliding down his face, his hands in his khaki pockets. “I’m sorry, I really am,” Hamish said, “I know I shouldn’t have slept with Vera.”
“Oh my god,” I mumbled, running my hands through my hair. Hamish looked at the left as he tried to avoid eye contact with me. “I don’t want to break up with you,” I said. “You won’t have to,” Hamish said, pulling his hand out of his pocket. I furrowed my brows and looked at him then his hand. He was holding a small red velvet bag. Gold rope tassels tied the bag at the top. Hamish pulled the rope loose and put his hand into the bag. Next thing I know, white powder was being blown in my face.

(Time Skip: The next day-Saturday)
I woke up on the couch in the living room of the den, a thick blanket was placed over my legs along with a pillow resting underneath my head. I slowly opened my eyes and squinted them from the bright light above me. The aroma of pine brimmed the air around me. I looked to my right and saw my sister sitting on the chair across from me, Hamish stood behind the bar. “You alright?” Hamish asked. I looked up at him, nodding my head. “What happened?” I inquired, sitting up from the couch.
“When you were coming back from the café, an Order member attacked you,” Hamish said, walking away from the bar. I looked at him very confused. I had no recognition of this, but I knew I needed to trust my friends and my own sister. “Who was it?” I asked. “Some guy from Kansas,” Lilith said, “He was a friend of Vera, I guess he knew you were a Werewolf.” I nodded to her explanation. “But everything’s okay, it’s been taken care of,” Hamish said. He walked over to the couch and handed me a cup of tea.
I took it willingly, sipping the herbal flavored drink. I looked up at Hamish and thanked him. Something felt different, I guess it was because I was attacked. I’m just happy that I’m safe.
Requests are still open, I’ve put the fandoms below:
Hey ya’ll! I’m sure some of you have heard that The Order won’t be returning, I’m so disappointed! This show had so much potential, and not to mention the cliffhanger!!!!! but....... I will be continuing the third season for Taste Of Secrets. I love this show so much that I thought it would be fun! If you have suggestions or ideas, feel free to message me on here or on Wattpad!
I walked over to the bar and poured a glass of liquor into a shot glass. Hamish watched me pour the liquid it into the cup. He stared at me and laughed (GIF Above). “What?” I asked, “Am I not being a correct....”
“Alcoholic Aficionado,” they finished my sentence. “Okay,” I sighed, “Why the hell did we know that?” They all shrugged, looking curious as ever. “All right, I’m sure we’ve met before,” Jack said.
“Wait,” Hamish looked at me, “I know how I know you!”
“And that would be?” I said. “You’re in Pre-law,” Hamish said, “We must know each other from a class.”
“That would makes sense,” I replied, shrugging. “Someone's coming,” Randall said. “I don’t hear anything,” said Lilith, taking a sip from her drink. “No, he’s right,” I agreed, “I hear a heartbeat.”
“and I can...smell them?” Randall said, questioning himself. “That’s ridiculous,” Lilith said, rolling her eyes. Just then a knock interrupted the conversation between the five of us. “Jack!” a girl called, “Jack, are you in there?” I walked over to the door and opened it. She pushed me aside and walked to Jack. “Oh, god I was so worried,” she said, wrapping her arms around him.
“You ran off again, did you have another blackout?” she asked, “You did didn’t you? I brought your medication.” I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion. For some reason I could hear her heartbeat quicken, like she was lying.
“Wait!” Randall ran forward, “They don’t have medication for that...” Randall grabbed the girls arm, forcing her to drop the bag of. The white bag fell to the ground. I saw white powder fly up in the air, causing me to cough. “I told you it wouldn’t work,” a boy walked in, “he’s Pre-med!”
Gabrielle kneed Randall in the groin, he stumbled back. Lilith grabbed the boy from the shoulders and pushed him against the wall. Gabrielle ran to the door, but I grabbed her shoulder and punched her in the jaw. Two other people walked through the far hallway. Lilith and one of the girls made eye contact, but before they could speak to each other Hamish and Jack both knocked them out.
Gabrielle held her jaw and glared at me. “Something you want to tell me ‘Babe’ ,” Jack retorted as he stood in front of the girl. “You’re dead, all of you,” She said.
“Oh shut up,” I said. I stepped forward and punched her again, successfully knocking her out cold. “Ha! Nice!” Hamish cheered while he gave me a fist bump. “We should probably get out of here,” I said, “They’ll be looking for us.”
“I agree with Y/N,” Hamish said, handing me a sweater. “Who put you two in charge?” Lilith asked, raising her eyebrows. “I don’t know,” Hamish said, “but it feels right to have her by my side.”
~~~~
The five of us walked down the sidewalk, Hamish’s shoulder brushed against mine causing me to blush. I questioned myself as to why I was blushing. Students walked on either side of us, giving us weird looks. “We shouldn’t be in the open like this,” I said. “We should split up than,” Lilith said, “We’re a pretty conspicuous group.” A high pitch ringing sound erupted, only the five of us winced in pain.
The thing inside of me was slowly trying to itch its way out of me. I could feel sharp teeth grow out of my mouth. I looked to my side and saw the others doing the same thing. Hamish grabbed my arm before I could fall to the ground. “What the hell was that?” I said, taking a breath.
“We were changing,” Randall said.
“Into what?” Lilith replied.
“I don’t know, something scary,” he said. “Is that what happened to us last night?” Hamish asked. “Yeah,” Jack sighed, “I think so.”
“In the mean time why don’t we just-” my sentence was cut short by a woman's scream. “It could be a trap,” I said, standing beside Hamish. His arm still rested on my shoulder. Alyssa ran over to the white statue, resting her hand on it. It fell to the floor and revealed what looked to be cut limbs.
“Oh that’s unsettling,” I commented, covering my mouth in disgust. Alyssa looked at me with a shocked expression. “Run!” she told us. Hamish grabbed my hand, leading me away from the crowd.
~~~~
Hamish and I sat down at a table at the Blade and Chalice, the rest of the group sat beside us. “I thought she was my friend,” I said, “I trusted her.” Hamish laid a hand on top of mine, comforting me. “So...” Hamish trailed, “Magic is real.”
“Yep,” Lilith said, “So what are we?”
“I don’t know,” I said. I picked up my drink, taking a sip of the beer. “Aliens? Superheroes?” Randall guessed, “Alien Superheroes?”
“What ever we are, it’s not human,” I said.
~~~~
The rest of the day was all weird, Hamish insisted on staying with me. “I’m sure Alyssa has a good reason,” he said. “For what? Not telling me what I am? or possibly wiping our memories?” I responded.
“We’ll figure this out,” he stopped amid the sidewalk, grabbing my hand. “We’ll figure this out together,” he said. I immediately felt safe, like I was with the person that made me feel like I was home.
The morning sun shined down on my head, heating me up from the cold air. Alyssa and I walked down the sidewalk. We made our way towards our English class. “So...” she trailed, “I had this idea.”
“Okay?”
“What if you and I went to the Blade and Chalice tonight and just studied and caught up on life.”
“Sounds good to-” my sentence was cut short by a loud ringing noise. I craned my neck to the side, trying to push out the sound. “Do you-” I put my hands to my ears, “Hear that sound?”
“Oh shit...” I heard Alyssa murmur. She grabbed my arm, pulling me to a secluded area. I looked up and what sounded like I roared at her. The next thing I know I’m on the concrete floor.
~~~~
I sat up from my bed, rubbing my eyes. I swung my legs over my bed and got ready for the day. I grabbed my sweater, slipping it over my head. I quickly grabbed my bag and made my way to class. I opened up my umbrella, protecting me from the cold rain. Students walked down the sidewalks. They talked with their friends or just kept to themselves. “Y/N!” I heard Alyssa yell behind me, she carried an umbrella.
“Hey,” I said, “What’s up?”
“Thought I would catch up with you,” she said, smiling. “Well, I’m just walking to my political science class,” I replied. “Right,” she sighed, “You’re in Pre-law.” I smirked, nodding. “You are way too start to be my friend,” Alyssa added.
“Pfft no!”
“Uh...yes!”
I rolled my eyes, chuckling. The rain slowly stopped pouring. I closed my umbrella and shook it so the water dripped off. I reached behind me, slipping it into my side pocket. “So.....” I trailed, “How is physiology going?”
“Same old same old,” she responded, “Listen, I’ve got to go to class, but I’ll see you later.” I nodded my head and waved her goodbye. I heard the rain from the leaves drop to the ground, making a really relaxing sound.
~~~~
I sat at a table in The Blade and Chalice, doing some economics homework. “What can I do for you?” a waitress asked, standing beside my table. “Just a glass of water,” I said. She nodded and walked back over to the bar. I pulled up a document of my notes from today and started my project about price control and exchange rights.
I turned my head to grab something from my bag. I pulled out my notebook, but when I looked up a blue rose laid on my computer. I picked it up and smelled it slightly.
I looked around the room, trying to find who had laid it on the keyboard. A small letter was next to it. “The Hermetic Order of The Blue Rose,” I mumbled, “Weird..”
~~~~
I stood in the dark forest with three other people. “So, do you guys know why we’re here?” I asked, tightening my jean jacket around my body. “Nope,” the boy beside me said, “I’m Hamish by the way.”
“Okay,” I sighed, “Didn’t ask, but okay?”
“And you’re not going to tell me your name?”
“It’s Y/N,” I replied, “Why does your name sound so familiar though?”
“I don’t know,” he said, narrowing his eyebrows. A boy around my age walked over to us. “Are you guys here for the blue rose?” he asked. The four of us nodded our heads. “Hello,” someone said, standing behind the guy. He jumped up and soon joined our group.
“Tonight you are no longer students, you are Acolytes,” the cloaked figure said, “Find the gold-.” The coin disappeared from his fingers. The familiar ringing sound interrupted the figures sentence. I fell to the ground, covering my ears. Suddenly I had no control over my body.
~~~~
I woke up, laying behind a chair. I sat up from the hard wood floor and looked down at my naked body. My body was completely covered in blood. I gasped in horror as I looked at my hands. “Um,” Hamish cleared his throat, “Anyone else wondering why they’re covered in blood?”
A girl with short black hair appeared behind a couch while three other boys arose from the ground.
Hamish stood up and walked around (GIF Above). I rested my hands on top of the chair, the furniture covered body except my head. Hamish looked at me, realizing how frightened I was. “Uh...” I trailed and looked at Hamish, “For some reason I trust you with my life. I would really like it if you were to get me some clothes.”
Hamish didn’t hesitate to nod. “Of course,” Hamish replied, “I’ll be right back.” After waiting a little bit, Hamish ran down the stairs and handed me a pair of jeans an a t-shirt.
“Thanks,” I said, grabbing the blue jeans and green t-shirt. I slipped them on and soon joined the group. Hamish pulled my arm, motioning me to talk to him. “I don’t know how I know you,” the blue eyed boy said, “but somehow I feel like I should stick with you.”
“Same,” I agreed, “How about we get a drink later?”
Hey, yo, you should definitely write a Hamish x Reader where she is Allyssa's best friend who can't stand that she fell for a Knight and goes to their house to confront Jack and tell him to leave her best friend alone, but it's just Hamish there, and the "last cocktail" is never the last when it comes to him. Thank you! I don't normally request, but I saw your post about ideas and I figured I'd offer you one. I wouldn't mind if it was smut, or fluff, either way I'll be satisfied 😂👏👏👏👌💞
The Knights of Saint Christopher. They were....interesting. Not that werewolves aren’t cool or anything, just the fact that my bestfriend had fallen for a knight. I hugged my books as Alyssa walked beside me. The birds chirped while the sun shined down on the students. Some teenagers played Frisbee while others sat and worked. I looked to my right and saw two kids playing chess. “We haven’t done that in awhile,” Alyssa said, nudging my shoulder. I shrugged, still mad at her for liking Jack.
“What’s been up with you?” she asked.
“Nothing.”
“You haven’t talked to me since...” she trailed then her eyes widened, “So that’s why you’ve been avoiding me.” I looked at her and furrowed my eyebrows. We stopped amid the sidewalk, students walked around us. “You’re jealous,” she said. I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms. “What am I jealous about?” I questioned, raising my eyebrows. “Jack and me,” she replied. I scoffed and shook my head.
“You really think I’m jealous of your relationship with him?”
She nodded her head, we started walking again. “I am not jealous,” I added, “In fact I don’t really know what you see in him. He’s a freshmen and we’re sophomores.”
“Oh please,” she scoffed, “I've seen the way you look at Hamish.” My cheeks grew red, trying to think of something to say. “You’re wrong, so wrong,” I said. She rolled her eyes and we walked our separate ways.
__________
I sat in English class, writing down some notes. I couldn’t help but think about my best friends relationship with Jack. I wasn’t jealous, I was worried. They’re The Orders enemies, If Magus found out about it she would go haywire. I needed to stop this friendship of theirs before they both get in trouble.
“You are dismissed,” Mr. Anderson said. I sighed in relief and grabbed my backpack. Alyssa waited for me at the front of the campus building. “Want to head to the library?” she asked, adjusting her backpack strap. “Uh...” I trailed, “I actually have to head to my dorm and grab my sweatshirt.” She nodded. “I’ll uh see you later?” I added, stepping back. She smiled and waved. I waited till she was out of sight before I could make a run for it.
I walked through the woods, pushing back branches and leaves. Luckily the knights know me and won’t try to maul me to death. The familiar house towered over me. Long grass and flowers surrounded the house. I looked through the window and saw people in the house. I sighed deeply, wondering if what I was about to do was the right thing for my friend. But it’s about my best friend and The Order. I gripped onto my backpack, my phone in my back pocket.
I knocked on the door and realized that the door was unlocked. “Hello?” I called, “Jack can I talk to you?” I closed the door behind me and sighed. “Jacks not here,” I heard someone say. I looked at who had spoken. Hamish stood there with a glass in the other hand, my heart started to beat faster by the second.
“What’re doing here?” he questioned, setting the glass down and crossed his arms. I gulped, holding my hands behind my back. “I’m looking for Jack,” I answered, “I just need to talk to him.”
“About?”
The blonde knight stepped forward and grabbed his glass, “Want a sip?”
“What is it?” I asked, following him into the living room.
“A cocktail,” he replied as he grabbed another glass. “So...” he trailed, “want to tell me the real reason why your here?”
“I would prefer not,” I gulped, getting nervous by the second. “Your heart’s beating fast,” Hamish said, raising an eyebrow. “I uh,” I swallowed the lump in my throat, “I should probably go.” I walked over to the door.
Before I could fully open it up Hamish transformed into his hide, he shut the door. I looked up at him, immediately blushing from his exposed skin. I tried to withhold my eyes from looking at his body. “Is this the moment that we kiss?” he asked, hand still pressed against the glass door. He picked up a robe, wrapping it around himself.
“I-I’m sorry?” I stuttered. I held my sweaty palms as I watched him walk towards me. He now stood in front of me, hands on his hips. His face inched closer to mine. “W-Why haven’t you kissed me yet?” I asked, still holding my hands in behind me. He scoffed and bit his lip. “Aren’t girls supposed to make the first move?” he said, but I could tell that he was joking.
“Are you seriously going down that route?” I said, crossing my arms. He put his hands on my face, kissing my lips. I dropped my bag and wrapped my arms around his neck. His arms snaked around my waist. I leaned back, my hands falling to my side while his arms still wrapped around my waist.
“You-You kissed me,” I said, softly. “Why?” I added as I waited for an answer.
“Because I could tell that you liked me,” he said, stepping back and slipping his socks back on.
“I-I..”
“And don’t tell me no, because I know when you’re lying,” he interrupted as he pointed at me. I crossed my arms, holding my head high. He waved me over and tapped his hand on a bar stool. “Come have a drink with me,” he said. I crossed my arms and looked out of the window that overlooked the front yard. “It’s the last cocktail,” he teased. I sighed, adjusting my sweater. I rolled my eyes and walked over to the knight.
“We’re not going to tell the knights are we?” I asked, taking a big swig of the alcoholic drink. I scrunched up my face at the sour taste. “Nope,” he replied popping the ‘P’. I put the glass down on the bar and wiped my mouth with my sleeve. “You are by far that second girl I’ve seen who can swallow a drink that fast,” he commented, setting down his glass as well. He looked at me and winked.
Randall and Jack walked through the front door. “We’re back!” Randall called, “What’d we miss?”
Hamish and I exchanged a look. “Nothing,” we said, “absolutely nothing.” The RA and Freshmen narrowed their eyes but slowly shook the curiosity away. Hamish cleared his throat, “How was the school day?”
Hello there! I would love to read some Hamish x Reader stuff
Sick days
The Order Masterlist | Full Masterlist
Hamish x-reader
The cold wind hit me as I left the café with my green tea in hand. I sipped the tea, my sore throat thanking me. I pulled the hat down so it was covering my ears. Students carefully walked down the icy sidewalks. Some people threw snowballs at each other or created snow angels. I chuckled to myself as I saw some couples fighting with the snow. I opened the dorm building, the heat hitting my freezing body. I took my jacket off once I entered my dorm room. I set the tea down as I changed into a pair of leggings and a sweater. I turned the TV on, resting my head on my pillow.
_________
My sleep was interrupted by multiple knocks coming from my door. I slowly got up from my bed, my body aching. I opened the door and saw Hamish standing there wearing his winter attire. “Hey,” I greeted, yawning.
“You look like shit,” he commented. I rolled my eyes and sat down on my bed. “I’m aware of that, thank you very much,” I brought a blanket over my shoulders. “Please don’t tell me you’re sick,” he said, sitting down on my chair. I sniffled and rubbed my eyes.
“I’m sick,” I said, my voice raspy. He got up from the chair and walked over to the door. “Where are you going?” I asked, sitting up. “I’m going to bring you back to health,” he answered, “be right back!”
_______
I laid on my bed, curled up underneath the blankets. Hamish walked in with a bag of goodies. I sat up, leaning up against my pillow. “This is for you,” he handed me a bowl of chicken noodle soup. He sat down in front of me with his phone. “What if I get you sick?” I asked.
He looked up at me and shrugged, “It’s fine! All that matters is you at the moment!” Hamish leaned over, kissing my cheek. I smiled and continued to eat my food.
