Hammerhuntober Day 1: Monster Kids AU!
I decided this year to go with just a general 'this AU but with fall colors' sort of prompt, and in comparison to last years drawing for this AU? Stark difference in mood.
Anywho, Sphinx Jim may be an important trollish warrior, but he's still a big kitty at the end of the day- but accidentally gives himself away with his own excitement. Toby finds it delightful.
Hammerhuntober 2020 || Day Two
Hammerhuntober Day 2: Medieval AU!
The trollish and human worlds coexist, and while it isn't seamless, each group often work alongside one another. Born a half troll, James was a wandering fighter, whom under certain circumstances, found himself in a kingdom ruled by Queen Nancy, and her grandson Tobias.
After accomplishing promising feats of strength and wit (and catching the Prince's eye), Jim was knighted into the ranks, and began to develop a deeper relationship with Toby to boot.
They often spoke with one another, and after some time, Prince Toby assigned Sir Jim as his close guard. With all that time together, it wasn't long before something else bloomed.

This one was really fun to color! The clothing and armor maaaaay not be super accurate to medieval times, but fun nonetheless.

Hammerhuntober Day 5: @despair-is-dead 's Kiki's Delivery Service AU!
I was mainly sticking to my own AUs for the month's prompts, buuuuut I couldn't resist! Their Kiki AU is so cute and I loved drawing the two of them (though I had some trouble with layout/posing ;3;)

Hammerhuntober Day Eight: Disney Fairy AU
I'll be honest, I can't keep up with Hammerhuntober for the rest of the prompts, on schedule or not. So this is my last for the prompts otherwise cut short. It's okay to need to acknowledge when to stop, and I think this last drawing is a good place to do so. I might still do some Halloween art but that's not a promise.

Hammerhuntober Day 3: Miraculous Ladybug AU!
Not much to say with this one, but Cat!Toby got a slight redesign once again, that I'm satisfied with more than his previous.

Hammerhuntober Day 4: Half Moomintroll!Jim AU
Little brush up on the AU- when Jim takes Merlin's spell to become a half troll, his trollish side comes out bearing more resemblance to a distant species of troll- the Moomins. Now smaller and fluffier than ever, it causes a bit more than confusion among his friends and family (though with time, this new change slowly becomes a new normal).
In this prompt, I wanted to do a simple cozy moment with some hot apple cider (I'm already dreaming of it).

Hammerhuntober Day Six: Suneater Steed AU
Finally, finally FINALLY!! This is probably one of my FAVORITE drawings I've done, period, as well as for Hammerhuntober. The way it all came together is so pleasing to me.
For this prompt, we have Jim and Suneater (the Nadder) on a night fight, when a certain someone comes up from behind- a welcomed surprise.
I believe this is also the first time I've posted proper art of Suneater with Jim and Toby? Plenty of exploratory sketches but this feels right as a proper entrance for her.
I want to do a post with her backstory at some point as well- especially how she ended up in modern day as a Trollhunter's dragon.
(One last note: Jim and Toby both have dragon scale armor (Suneater shed quite a bit upon entering Trollmarket). Toby's was crafted by Jim and an armor craftstroll, and Jim carved down a scale of Suneater's and placed it in the Amulet.)

Hammerhuntober Day Seven: Life is Strange AU
Not much to say about this one, I haven't fleshed it out as much as other AUs, but the games still hold a niche place in my heart.
Jim takes Max's role, coming back to Arcadia after having moved away with his mom for some years, only to run into his old best friend, Toby- with a slew of other changes waiting to greet him.

I have to be honest- I'm not sure how I like how this one turned out. But that's okay- it's part of the learning process and I can use what I like vs. what I didn't in future art. It still has value in being a part of my art, so in a way, I like it for that reason alone.
