Jesse watched Dina approach with the slight hint of a smile on his face. Brown eyes softened at the sight of her—she was about six months pregnant at this point and she was positively glowing. After returning to Jackson, the three of them had settled upon an agreement together regarding the baby. Ellie was who Dina would be raising the baby with but Jesse would gladly help whenever they needed it. He would have been on board to co-parent with her but he decided to take a big step back and just be uncle Jesse instead. Ellie was the other parent as far as he and Dina were concerned and Ellie seemed to be pretty happy about the idea of being a parent, despite all that she’d gone through in the past couple of months. It was heartwarming to see her and Dina building a life together. “Hey, Dina,” he said softly as Dina stood on her tip-toes to hug him and he welcomed the embrace with warmth. She gave pretty good hugs. “You look great,” he told her when they had pulled apart. Pregnancy only seemed to accentuate her beauty. “How’ve you been feeling?”

I’m really excited to see how this verse develops with everything we have planned for it, and I know my own verse wouldn’t be half of what it is without you so yeah.     The reply came around a mutter, Arthur not quite glancing up from where he was rummaging around in his bag. Mismatched supplies and tools--seemed strange at first glance, but ANYTHING could become a benefit when it came down to life or death. Still, he found himself scratching at his stubble somewhat before glancing back at her. Really, he looked a little TIRED, and certainly felt it. Still, Dina wasn’t terrible conversation, and...well, Arthur had to admit that he was starting to get used to being around other people again. Still, that could turn on its head and it was something his memories wouldn’t let him forget.

    Still, despite the thought, he found himself letting out a soft huff.

    “Though, y’ want my opinion? Sounds like you’re makin’ SOMETHIN’ out ‘f NOTHIN’.”

          jesse is on about something that doesn’t concern him but is also trying to point out what he THINKS joel should be doing .  ❝  kid , listen . i don’t need you t’ tell me what it is i’m lookin’ at .  i know what i’m doin’  .  ❞  back before outbreak day , joel did this kind of work for a living . building and fixing . hell , its like riding a bike . he may be a little rusty but it doesn’t take long to get the hang of it again .  

joel can see dina out of the corner of his eyes snickering somewhat which only forces him to shake his head . ❝  and if you think you could do better then come on over here and take over .  ❞ the older man continues on about his business mumbling something about the kids today and their know it all attitudes . so when he glances over and asks  ❝ he always like this ?? ❞  she simply nods her head in agreement with him without saying another word  .  GREAT .
