Quick thoughts / bird names under the cut 🙂↕️ (Pym and I's posts included)
Okayyyyyy so!!!!!
Firstly, on some of the hanachi drawings they don't have wings because Pym and I were not yet sure about the bird designs but we still drew them lmfao 😭✌️ just imagine the wings are there when they're lacking.
• Hana is a barred owl with spurs (for the fun of it) (he's also the only owl in town to fit that "outsider" part of him, since owls do not live in towns). He hoots, yes, and he has a specific call for Amachi 🙂↕️ (since Amachi can mimick sounds, Hana likes to hear him hoot back ♥️).
• Amachi is a raven. Not leucistic because it's not a mutation or anything it's a syndrome (just imagine Marie-Antoinette syndrome but for birds). He turned white due to trauma ^_^ . He's also socially alienated so he isn't as talkative/loud a normal raven is.
(Also in good hanachi flavor, you can see some of Amachi's head feathers (on the back of his head, his cowlick feathers ♥️) move/wriggle. It's because it's the Hana radar. They rise when Hana's in his field of vision. It's often like an acknowledgement, interest, but it's also another type of blushing... And they ONLY rise for Hana 🙂↕️🙂↕️)
• Harumichi is a golden pheasant
• Rinda is a turkey
• Yasu is a cotton pygmy goose
• Hiromi is a crowned eagle
• Bandou is a wedge-tailed eagle (we chose them to be eagles in the end bc it fit the both of them better. It also worked well with their dynamic since eagles are highly territorial birds and two of them in the same space isn't exactly a good mix. Teehee.)
• Zetton is a cassowary (duh, kicker)
• Hashikan is a hamerkop
• Kiyohiro is a red-tailed black cockatoo
• Tesshou is a yellow crested cockatoo
• Ryuushin is a Verreux's eagle (the white pattern on the back of his wings could be the Armament's skull ^^ (← Pym's thoughtful observation!!!))
• Tatsuya is an egyptian vulture
(↑ we also pictured most of Housen students are vultures since the birds are bald 😭 . And Suzuran's students are full feathers. The beef came from there 😭✌️)
• Nachi is a red cardinal
• Yazuka is a stellar blue jay
Also the way they preen/allopreen is with their hand claws and/or with teeth, since they don't have beaks. Some of them have preening claws (ie. Hana and Amachi), some of them don't (ie. Zetton and Butcher (← Butcher's a kākāpō))
There's more characters we've assigned birds to so if your fav's not here you can ask us we probably have them 🙂↕️🙂↕️

Not what I'm currently constructing but I wanted to finish coloring something real quick . There's something about me with this damn heart effect BUT this time there's a different purpose. So. It's also just really fun
Tried to give Amachi a transparent sort of look due to Hana's glow idk if I succeeded.. Kind of got drowned out by the other lighting shit but.. Just so yk
And of course I've got to convert every character I draw into these dumb chibi things. Whatever they are
TO BE HONEST, TO BE COMPLETELY HONEST the reason it's angst is not because of the war, the idea had been in my sketchbook for a while 🥹🥹🥹
Like, sometimes, looking at Amachi's character, I can't help but think of world where his emotionally constipated ass would never accept Hana despite how much he loves him just because he doesn't think he deserves it, because of the possibility of it making him weak, or soft. He'd fuck up once, rejecting Hana, and would end up regretting it forever

(I also thought this could be one of those necklaces that click together but with magnets?? I’ve only seen it with plastic or metal that fits together but I don’t know why they couldn’t work with magnets)
I am so fucking sad this amazing story has ended in such a tragic way. I feel like if there was some kind of announcement before had it would not be so bad 😭. But no the journey is over for now...
Fucking Hachimaru died. I really thought Ann would lose her shits if this happened, but know she is just upholding his calling. She is so fucking beautiful too. I wish we got to explore more of this world and her and Hachimaru’s relationship. I hate endings for couple when they die( or just one of them). Just like Darling in the Franxx. I guess that was the surprise ending and it just had to rush towards the finish line. Maybe he can be reborn.

We had an appearance from Yasha, too! This chapter was an amazing final chapter. I just wish we had more. Never figured out who Ryu really was. Saw the other to keys and they looked amazing af! This ending hurts. I really wanted to see more of this series. Maybe they can animate what they have and fluff it out a bit. Or it can become a movie. Idk but I would really love to see more of this. I wished they would have just let Kishimoto finish his story, or he could continue it on his own. He is still getting money from Naruto and Boruto. I love this manga. 😭
