I may not be able to solve the entire cipher-hunt-esque rabbit hole of codes laid out by @fordtato's Book of Bill Video, but decoding the link to this secret bonus youtube channel still feels like an accomplishment. To the fellow bad-at-solving-code folks out there, here it is: https://www.youtube.com/@CiphertologyInduction
my "Human"(????) Bill Cipher design,
aka: Hanna Forgets The Assignment Within Seconds Of Reading It
details & commentary below the cut
the first thing i actually had the idea for was the three different kinds of eyes. i knew for sure i wanted a big nasty hollow void for one, and the silly cartoony Bill Cipher-Classic eye for the other. that left the third, and i immediately realised that the msot uncanny thing i could do was go for some kind of realism.
i'm especially proud of the torn pupil here, i hope it comes across as such!
that brings me to the general headshot designs. i wanted to keep working with the uncanny theme for the "Face", so i took out the nose completely and opened up the mouth to the very corners. from there, i thought, "hey, why not float that whole top half of the head off? that'd be a fun way to extress and emote on a face that only has one eye, no eyebrows, and a literally inhinged mouth!"
moving on from that, to the full body design. i knew i wouldn't be able to perfectly work in the triangle shape language as i really wanted to, but i still wanted to bring some kind of "three-part" thing into it. so, i just decided that he'd have three limbs (arms, legs, eyes). that way, this three-dimensional iteration of the character would appear three-angled in some kind of way regardless.
with that decided, i realised: hey, you know what else has a body many of three parts? insects!
so i separated those segments more fully and gave the limbs a generally more insectoid anatomy.
I also at this point remembered the prompt, so i added the golden blood/ichor/goop(?) in those pseudo-sexy goopy strings.
that said, i still wanted to get AS MANY triangle shapes in there. i also thought that the lower body looked a little empty. so, going off of the insect theme, i decided to add wings. again, there's three of them!
i didnt take proper reference for those, but instead based them off what i vaguely remember flies to look like (their combined wing shape is most triangular) and used a vaguely dragonfly-esque colour scheme. i only realised later that it was also the colour of the pact-magic that he uses in the show :D
still desperate to SOMEHOW stick to the assignment, i then threw together a ,, , action pose? idk tongues are sexy right? im a monsterfucker i really am not a reliable source
