IN MY STORY :D (yes i’m bringing this up again) any rival that dies is replaced with their male version.

Instead of adding him AFTERWARDS, i decided it’d make better story material if Haruka (male Hanako) already existed as Hanako’s twin brother.

What you see above is:

“So,” Haruka waltzed up to his elder brother, a grin on his face, “I didn’t know you had game. You’re usually such a loner!”

Haruka nodded over to the girl he’d been speaking with.

“Oh, her? She’s just..a friend, is all. She’s been helping me out a lot as of recently.”

“Yeah, betcha that’s what “i’ll always be there for you means:, right?”

“What’re you two talkin’ about?” Hanako asked, smiling at Taro.

“Taro’s got a girlfriend.” Before Taro could say a dang thing, Haruka spoke up with a grin.

Hanako’s expression suddenly turned to one of horror, “Wh-What?! Taro?!”

She looked at him with a quivering lip and Taro froze, “You don’t really have a girlfriend, do you?!” She clung to his arm with a pleading expression, fearing the worst.

“Yeah, man. What’s the story?” Haruka grabbed his other arm with an evil grin.

Taro? He hoped they could yell about it amongst themselves.

I thought that adding Haruka as her brother would be strange. She claims that she’s “scared” that Taro will leave her alone, but what sense does that make if she has another brother?

Maybe they never really got along- or at least, Hanako was too stubborn to allow them to get along. Her pride spiked once when she heard that she was a couple seconds older then Haruka, and she always acted a bit obnoxious.

On Haruka’s side, he always tried to cling to Hanako, but she only found it annoying. As he got older, he began to envy Taro greatly. He always got everyone’s attention.

It always seemed like Haruka was either the backup plan or unnoticed, and he was sick of it. So, he always hoped that he could somehow hook Taro up with someone and get him out of there so he could have more attention, hence why he always pushes him to get a girlfriend.
