Same set up as the one before, but this time I ditched the colouring. Only genuine gold foil for the smoke and flower petals and diluted black acrylic paint for the rest.  I actually like it better that way. The colours did not come through as I’d hoped the last time. I think the plain black gives a better contrast and is still subtle.

Also, this time I did not blind tool the gold design ahead and gild it later, but went for the design and gold foil right away.

I’m also really crappy at drawing things, so I used details from the graphic novel slightly-awkward sunshine had already drawn so much better than I could have
