Productive Procrastination
I’ve been avoiding working on my latest big design because the amount of dotwork required is a bit daunting. So I thought, what better way to procrastinate working on a big project than by starting another? So I started a new polyhedron 3D drawing.
It started out as an Icosahedron (instructions on how to draw can be found here). I then divided each edge in half in order to find the center of every face. From here, I drew lines connecting the centers of each face to one another, and connected them to the regular icosahedron vertices.
Effectively, I am doing the same thing that was done for my Small Ditrigonal Icosidodecahedron drawing. I am not sure what this shape is called, but I will look into that so it can be named.
It is a lot of fun taking regular platonic solids and adding or subtracting space to them by making slight modifications like these. I got a great satisfaction when I figured out how I was going to approach this one. I look forward to exploring more studies of shapes in 3D in the future!

might have crocheted too close to the sun today…..
Another piece for the holiday bag room gift. Chair!
If the doll sits forward, feet can touch. Back and (with shoes) still good. Perfect height for a Barbie/Ken/1:6 model.
The legs were the hardest part. I was all: ohmahgerbals! What am ah doin! But then it came together.
Working on the bed. More to come.
