I finished loom knitting my latest pair of socks inspired by The Vampire Lestat. In the NYCC trailer you can see he's got "HATE" and "ME" on the soles of his shoes and I thought it'd be a fun colourwork project to combine with my earlier blood-drip socks pattern I developed a few years ago. I made my own charts for the letters and blood, and used my favourite KnittingBoard Sock Loom (fine gauge).
I know AMC has Hate Me socks in the official merch shop, but I also heard the quality is absolutely abysmal so I'm happier just having my own, merino wool pair that perfectly suits me!
If you're looking to decorate your cane in some way, the larger side of these types of looms are perfect for making cane covers. You can remove the covers whenever you want as well so it's possible to cordinate with outfits. It's relatively quickly & easily too. Took me about 2-ish hours to get the base done with no decorations even though I'm a bit rusty. To get it over the rubber tip I just took it off and put it back on. (I believe the diameter of my cane about 3/4in for reference). On an understanding level, its not complex and it's something I could do before I could tie my shoes. On a physical level, there's a lot of repetitive movements and you need to be able to make small precise movements with your hands, so be aware of that.
The great thing about being my friend is you get to watch me partake in fibre arts
Sweater progress: currently working on the second half of the back piece. So close to 1/3 done the project. I’m enjoying this new loom though it does have the drawback of the pegs being easy to break. Oops. Also my hands been cramping so I take frequent breaks in between. I can’t wait until it’s finished though I like how the yarn pattern looks.
I have been knitting a bunch of hats over the past week and a half. So far I have knitted 12 and I'm gonna attempt to make at least 15 by April. I've been working down my yarn stash but I did end up having to buy some black yarn because I use a lot of it to make brims but so far I've worked down my stash pretty well! :D
Making progress on my blanket!

Also, I’d like brands and tips for soft yarn that isn’t super thin but like also not chunky
and maybe some chunky yarn tips too
