Granny Squares are said to be the easiest things to understand how to make... Or at least that was my opinion for the past 4 or so years I've been crocheting.
The other day I finally understood the concept.
It happened on a total whim, too. I followed a tutorial on YouTube by Bella Coco (here) and within two days I had finished a small 34" granny square blanket -- and I've got another one in the making, but with a bunch of 5" squares I'll be attaching together later.
I do make the occasional blankets here and there since I'm from the Northeast and I love cozy vibes, but I really think making them in the form of granny squares or with granny squares may be the quickest way to make them and/or clear up a lot of yarn from a yarn stash in a quicker way.
Happy Crocheting!
