SOFT, SILKY, AND SHEER CLASS, Saturday, September 24, 11am-5pm at Lacis Museum of Lace and Textiles, Berkeley. Sheer, lightweight fabrics make beautiful garments, but they can be challenging to sew. Conquer cutting and sewing these types of fabrics while learning how to easily finish seams and hems. After the samples are completed, students will begin a simple top from a list of suggested patterns that will be emailed in the Supply List sent upon registration. The skills you will learn in this class will carry over into your future sewing projects. The cost of the class is $85.00. A Kit Fee of $35.00 includes all fabrics, stabilizer, silk ribbon & instructions for each technique printed on card stock for the samples and tissue to cut your top.
