I sent this ask to a couple of people and I really want to know your take on this.What do you think is Hanji’s love language?

Anon! I love love languages because it’s so open to interpretation? For example what “quality time” means to one person might differ from what it means to another? Anywho! Here’s what I think.

In canonverse, I feel Hanji’s love language is physical touch (to give), and acts of service (to receive). I just think physical touch ties in to my hc of Hanji. I think Hanji’s easily excitable and just a really physical person generally speaking. It’s all “oh it’s nice to meet you! /claps person’s back/“, “ah Levi! /hugs him from behind/“. I can imagine them ruffling the kids’ hair and giving them hugs and pats on the back. You know. The works.

And when it comes to the things that really matter, the hard to describe, painful, awfully soft and emotional things- like love or relationships or *coughs* wanting to live in a forest with someone *coughs*, Hanji would find it hard to use words (despite usually being pretty big on words and communication and saying it like it is). So Hanji usually uses touch.

And this just ties in with my HCs of Levi and Hanji being emotionally constipated but being well aware that they are both in love (ew), but also actively beating around the bush (they flirt a lot indirectly with a lot of metaphors i.e.,unrequited love for titans whatever). Because through this stupid dance they do around gross tender human emotions, there’s a little hand holding, a little brushing of hair from the face, a little falling asleep on one another’s shoulder, a little soak in the bath together, a little tangle in the sheets that just holds all of their affection for each other? It’s just- comfort befitting seasoned soldiers ya know? Yes. I love this. I am a sucker.

And Hanji appreciates acts of service because Hanji is a big mess. Period. And although Hanji has a lot of people doing kind things for them (Moblit, the kids, etc.), I hc that Levi does it in a way that forces them to reckon with their own feelings, like “hey look four eyes. You are fucking dumb and useless and you can’t take care of yourself. Here. I brought you some food so you won’t die of starvation (because you totally would). I hate you.” And Hanji’s all blushy and like wow… Y-you care… you do nice things for ol’ Hanjo because? That’s right genius. Because he loves you😌

I don’t know. What do you think? The possibilities are endless!

I’m not at that episode yet but I’ve had the pleasure of watching everyone go absolutely apeshit! I usually avoid tumblr a little when an episode has been released (because I’m a lazy bitch and I wait for the Netflix release). But I have spoiled myself (by choice because I needed to see my bb). And Hanji looks so good! SO SO GOOD. The hair, the nose, the everything. Omfg.

where did the inspiration to call Hange "Hanjo" came from ? it's so funny 😆

I think it’s a combination of a desire for an affectionate nickname for hanj (it’s either you add a -y or an -o, I don’t set the rules, and since Hanji already has a -y sound, it has to be hanjo), a stupid page where they were voting on snk ships and someone voted Reiner x Hanjo for shits and giggles and hanjo was spelled like that, and this one beautiful post.
