Stag Beetle.... get it?
— Kate Bush, Running Up That Hill
this review is making me feel something inside
Fireflies: Glowing, Snail-sucking, Poisonous Hedonists
'Ooh, that looks nice,' she would say. 'Lovely and pink,' she would sometimes add, a weakness for the color pink being an infallible sign of the defective taste one associates with certain groups and individuals: the British working class, grand French restaurateurs, Indian street-poster designers, and God, whose fatal susceptibility for the color is so apparent in the most lavishly cinematic instances of his handiwork (sunsets, flamingos).
The Debt to Pleasure, John Lanchester
so there’s this australian comedy called rake and it’s about this dodgy lawyer and all the shit he gets up to. people love it and the ads for the new season are hilarious, so i decided to watch the first episode. the first ep has hugo weaving playing a high profile economist cannibal and it’s like they did a funny, uber australian version of hannibal lecter being put on trial skdjhaksdjhadksjah
Death and the Maiden, Henri Lévy
This tableu can be found in Newport, Oregon. But may be it can not. It is underground, a gift for each other that will last hidden until mankind decide to put a market on it or if some more houses were to be necessary on this town. Even then, may be not. First tableu will be just for them both. And the maiden will be Bedelia. Who are the other people on the scene? Let that be andwered by mr. Fuller.

pt. 2 of things I bought at Anime Expo specifically because they was Hannibal-esque: antler hairclips! I also have a matching flower crown 😁 I included a picture of some other options they had, was heavily debating the one with mushrooms as a throwback to Amuse-Bouche but didn't go for it. I also included a business card but they don't seem to do any kind of online sales 😢 (I bought this pretty box specifically to display Hannibal-related items in...)
