The Jester moth emerging from it’s cocoon
some concept art for my sky world, the reaching isles.
A lot of plants in the Reaching Isles rely on the wind to spread their seeds. And because there's plenty of wind in a world with lots of open air, some of these plants can grow to enormous sizes!
There are also these horse/larvae type of creatures called Nurau. They are highly intelligent and live for about 400 years as a "grub". Only at the end of their life cycle do they turn into beetles! These creatures are very rare though, but have a habit of choosing a family and staying with them for as long as they like, which could be multiple generations if the creature likes them.
