speaking of team china members calling yu wenzhou captain. zhang xinjie gets back from worlds and occasionally refers to yu wenzhou as his captain. what he doesn't expect is how jealous and cranky that makes han wenqing (who never says anything but zxj can tell)

thinking about hanzhang again, as one does.

everyone knows han wenqing has the personality of an unyielding force of nature. he doesn't back down, he doesn't compromise, he charges ever forward. and then teenage twink zhang xinjie bursts onto the scene with his tactics and his schedules, and everyone who doesnt know him well him assumes he's going to get steamrolled by han wenqing.

except zhang xinjie is anything but timid and it doesn't take long for everyone to realize that their new vice captain is every bit as stubborn and unyielding as han wenqing, albeit in very different ways. the tide shifts and people start wondering when the two of them are going to clash so badly that one will be forced to give in or leave.

when that doesn't happen,the talk dies down until most people forget those kind of rumors ever happened in the first place.

anyways I have a lot of feelings about han wenqing going from a one-man show to someone who, when he scrapes out a win against arrogant rookie sun xiang, immediately looks for zhang xinjie's face in the crowd.

thinking about hanzhang (as one does) and i desperately need the fic from han wenqing's point of view about zhang xinjie going from some talented kid who shows promise to the partner hwq can drop his guard around.

the worst part, han wenqing thinks once he realizes, isn't discovering that he has feelings. it's that he he absolutely no idea what to do about them.

advance forward his instinct tells him, except his partnership with zhang xinjie has always been about give-and-take, about balance. surely he can't just charge forward based on old instincts
