I wanted to thank you for your response to my ask about how to draw. I was hoping to get some tips, but you've written such a thoughtful answer, it really motivated me to try to learn more.
I think part of the problem is that I was treating it as a "stepping stone" in order to learn what I want and didn't think about the process. I'm kinda struggling to convey my meaning in English 😅, but what I mean (and it sounds pretty silly) is that I guess I forgot that Art isn't just difficult as in "it's hard to have motor coordination", but also complex as in "there is a whole study branch in the techniques" (I hope that was comprehensible, sorry, english isn't my first language), maybe because art was always seen as purely talent in my school and is really undervalued.
Anyway, I just got super excited to research the points you talked about and give some proper thought about the time I'll spend on it, so thanks a lot for taking the time to give such a long answer, you're awesome 💛.
Aw, I'm glad you came back! I was hoping I'd hear about your art journey again one day <3
Art is a huge range of branching disciplines and it's so exciting to hear about a new person. starting since there are so many mediums and techniques to try out while you find your combination.
Have fun, make mistakes, get messy!!!!
(this is a reference to an old/classic kid's tv show and not a random interjection.)
I wish you all the best, ellen
