This is abt kyo’s years of abuse, trauma & suffocating guilt!

The “ i forgive you” that kyo was desperate to hear isn’t tohru’s!!!! hers fall flat!! It’s kyoko’s, his mother’s, but alas~ the dead aint coming back~

Above all, The “ i forgive you”  he craved the most was his own tired self telling him: it’s okay, the mistakes of the past CANNOT be fixed. You can’t change a thing abt it. Accept the past cuz you’ve been punished enough! forgive yourself for your own self!! He gotta believe in himself.

But now is NOT the time to reach this conclusion, YET! cuz trauma can’t be shit sown with a press button! Kyo gotta reach his own conclusion by himself!

Thank you Takaya-san for prioritizing real depiction of trauma over cheap over-used dramatic love magic!!!!

after reading the new chapter, i can confidently say that rayleigh and shakky are a heterosexual version of lusan and i love that for them. 'pirate x nobility turned pirate' ship where the pirate has to save the former nobility from a tyrant (celestial dragons/judge) and a prospective marriage turned murder plot (garling+sommers/charlotte wedding). also, one of them is a professional in the service industry that smokes cigarettes. oda missed wci so much he re-did it

not to be angsty on main, but luffy would fit a hanahaki au tragically well in the sense that if he knew the other person didn't like him back, i could see him not getting the surgery to remove the flowers regardless. ordinarily, i think luffy would be the type to confess regardless whether or not his feelings are returned but i don't see him doing it in a hanahaki au

with his life on the line like that, it would just make the other person feel guilty. like they're the one killing him because they don't love him romantically. and the last thing he wants is that. even more than that, he doesn't want them to try and force themselves to love him in that way just to try avoiding his death. he's just content being by their side as friends

but he still wouldn't get the surgery because he doesn't want to forget the feeling of loving that person and he wants to live a life he won't regret. erasing how he feels for someone else would definitely be a top 10 regret in his mind. he's 100% willing to die on that hill

(of course, there's always a possibility he's forced to get the surgery against his own wishes and the fall out that decisions brings...)

I want Luffy and Usopp to have a day where they're fishing and Usopp is swooning about his crush on Kaya. He's just going on and on about how she is so nice and cool and has a cute laugh he always wants to hear and be the cause of and Luffy is just agreeing the whole time. And it's all cool because Usopp just thinks it's his best friend hyping him up and being polite until Luffy says something about "and his eyes are blue and pretty too!"

So Usopp goes "Kaya doesn't have blue eyes🤨" and Luffy goes "Duh, I thought we were talking Sanji🤨?" and that's how they find out they were having two completely different conversations because Luffy thought Usopp was telling him he had great taste and congratulating him on his new boyfriend

Sanji himself is not aware that he is apparently in a relationship and has been for a while

My angsty thought of the day is how Vivi is a princess who couldn't abandon her country but Sanji is a prince who was abandoned by his. Now to make this everyone else's problem
