Cattleya African beauty all set to bloom soon. Look at that happy sap!
When your cattleya orchid is just so damn happy to be alive. 💖
Phal the Second is very prone to produce what people call “happy sap”. I have to periodically clean her with a wet cotton pad to remove it. The reason orchids peoduce happy sap is a bit of a mistery and there is no easy answer, but some orchids seem to be more inclined to produce it than others. Some of my Phals produce it and others don’t, and they all are cared for in the same way.

hello, butterfly kisses, cracked peppercorn and earl grey tea, never mind your shaky fingers, blue velvet touch in golden mornings, you colour my heart, you colour my little life
It’s funny how things you wish for come true in the most coincidental of ways.
