there is no doubt about it, bambi had been a dick in high school. sure she could chalk it up to being in the closet, not really knowing who she was, that it was really a crush that she just didn’t know how to explain, blah blah blah. but that didn’t change the fact that she had been a complete ass to tim growing up. of course, there was always a part of her that had liked tim, but she also knew that back then tim wouldn’t date someone who was always bullying them. so she just pushed that part of her deep down and continued to just torment him for the many years until he eventually just stopped coming to school. bambi had felt guilty after that. she wasn’t completely sure if she was the sole reason he had never come back, but she knew that she had missed her chance to ask him out in high school and she figured she’d never see him again.
after high school, bambi moved away from the influence of her family and began truly finding herself. which is what led her to coming out as transsexual, and eventually beginning her transition. since then she had lived a quiet life at her apartment complex until a few months ago. the new mail man kept leaving packages for the wrong apartment on her doorstep, which meant she had to keep going to the correct apartment and setting it on their doorstep. she had never paid attention to the name until today and it made her stop her in tracks. because this couldn’t be the same tim from school, that would be insane. but as she knocked on his door and set the package down, preparing to turn and walk away, the door opened to find that it was indeed the same tim that she had tormented only a few years earlier in their lives.
“hi! sorry um...the mail man keeps leaving your packages at my door so I thought i’d just drop it off. I didn’t realize anyone was home. you’re tim, right?”
