Just some inconsequential Guru Guru talk.
For a while now
I’ve been having this gut feeling that the stage event in March will reveal Mahoujin Guru Guru to air sometime in the coming October (aka. the busiest time of the academic year ) *softly* why ;;__;;
But at the same time I’m looking forward to see who they’d cast as Kita Kita Oyaji and Ju Ju!! *fingers crossed* There’s a small ray of hope in me that believes they’d keep the original seiyuu for Oyaji at the very least (his classic comedic voice is irreplaceable to me tbh). But since it’s a remake it’d make sense to cast all-new people (I’d be a little sad, but I also trust that this new series will be amazing and surpass all my expectations). I’m not calm after seeing this:

Might post it some day under a read more idk BUT I just want to say that I’m fairly confident that the remake will include some sort of side production related to Kita Kita Oyaji alone, likely something related to his spinoff manga because why the hell else would Gangan Online’s countdown teaser images be so darned specific to hint only at him?? uurrrgh *ruffles hair*
Also, Etou’s comment in the latest manga volume is the biggest tease, it kills me sometimes. It’s got me all curious, impatient and thrilled at the same time because I still can’t believe this is all happening.... T__T
Whatever awaits us...
I’ll be ready.

P.S. I will forever find it hilarious how Etou-sensei is probably a DQ nerd by day, and a kick-ass DJ by night.
It’d be nice to attend Happy UFO Party* at least once in my life to witness Etou-sensei (DJ NICK-Q) in action, working those turntables (ideally partying alongside Takimoto Fujiko** because she is bestgirl and Nike’s original seiyuu) at DJ party events themed around the show. 😂😂😂 One can dream.

*Happy UFO Party is a DJ party event organized by Etou-sensei’s fan club back in the 90s; it was revived in April of 2016
**Takimoto-san attended last year’s event as a special guest and apparently it was a BLAST because look:
