I had to do these four together, because it would feel weirdto do otherwise. They traveled together for a time, and explored parts ofMorrowind together.
Bastien Liore isa Breton con-artist and necromancer of the 2nd era. He was alivewhen the Soulburst took place (and, in my ‘canon universe’ he is one of themany souls sacrificed to Molag Bal, and he is the Vestige). He was disowned byhis family, but found the banishment to be a blessing. Adventuring, scamming, and enjoying the company of complete strangers suited him more than fine attireand kissing the boots of business partners. He spent a majority of his life inHammerfell, spent some time in High Rock, and once took an impromptu trip toMorrowind.
Jane Fontaine belongedto a rather wealthy family of Daggerfall. While she enjoyed the luxuries thatcame with such a status, she disliked everything else. Enough so that shedecided to run away (although, there were other events and pressures fromfamily that led to this decision). Somehow, she found her way to Morrowind, andafter a time honed both her archery and spell casting abilities (aka, she’s awarden). She tends to patrol the roads near Balmora, offering assistance whenevernecessary. This is how she met not only Bastien, but her future partner,Nisimal.
Nisimal was oncea member of an Ashlander tribe, but for reasons unknown to others – even Jane –he abandoned them. He’s never been much of a fighter, but he’s a decent healer. He prefers to spend his free time tending to guar or weaving (or, as he oftendid for the group, repair rips and tears in clothing). He and Jane grew ratherclose during their adventures, and later one settled down outside of Balmora(after an interesting visit to High Rock, to visit one of the siblings Jane hadgrown estranged from). Nisimal’s first traveling companion, a Khajiit by thename of Risrin, lived with them.
Risrin was one ofthe first companions Nisimal made after leaving his tribe. She cannot talk, andtherefore couldn’t explain where she had come from – something that, oddlyenough, worked out for the pair. Risrin wanted to keep the past to herself, and Nisimal didnot wish to dig around. Risrin, being a pahmar builtfor speed, would often scout ahead for the group or hunt whenever Jane’s arrowsdidn’t provide supper. Before the group, she would protect Nisimal frompossibly robbers and other ill-intentioned folk lurking along the roads.
