Submitter's note: This is the album where The Prodigy really became "The Prodigy" as most people know them; though their sound would go through subtle evolution in future albums, the general vibe of "dark breakbeat electronica with heavy metal/rock guitars" would generally stay the course. Rather famously, despite getting its title from a vocal sample not originally recorded by the band, Smack My Bitch Up landed them in hot water due to its… well, blatant misogyny. Though it is one of their most well known songs, it has not been highlighted partially for this reason, and partially because there's other songs the submitter thinks are worth a listen. Somewhat ironically given that fact; Fuel My Fire is a cover of a song originally written and performed by the all-female punk/grunge band L7.
