Hardingrock - Fanitullen
'Fanitullen (Daudingen)' is a tune composed by the Devil. According to tradition it was first heard in 1727 by a fiddle player at a dramatic and bloody wedding at Hovet in Hol, Hallingdal, Norway. A young man was fatally wounded in a duel with knives and on his death bed this tune rose up from the cellar. The Devil himself was then seen playing it on top of a beer barrel. Knut Buen knows many versions of Fanitullen, and parts from several of them have been used in these compositions.
