The Witness - See the World Differently
How do you solve a puzzle without knowing the rules?
The Witness is a 3D puzzle game that puts the player in a beautiful, outstanding, and mesmerizing island filled with over 650+ puzzles to be solved. All without knowing what exactly the rules are (or supposed, until you understand them..)!
The Witness was designed by Johnathan Blow and developed by Thekla Inc., with a score rating of 10/10 by the Youtuber IGN, it really justifies the simple, well-thought gameplay The Witness has to offer to new unexpecting players who’ll not know what’ll hit them.
One thing that I enjoy about The Witness is its concept. To a non-The Witness player it may seem like dragging one line from one point to another. But the game puts a twist to that, to an extent and pulls it off to its great potential. This truly makes the player think hard, see the world in a different perspective, and think outside the box when solving puzzles in the world.
Also, The Witness doesn’t have a solid storyline to follow but philosophical perspectives and views to seeing the world in different lenses. With tape recorders scattered throughout the world, The Witness makes sure the players are engaged and learn something new, and definitely fits to the whole “a change of perspective” lesson.
Fair warning though, if you start to play The Witness and go through its 650+ fun and head-aching levels, you too might start seeing patterns in real life too (I still see them till this day, haunting me…).

You wake up, alone, on a strange island full of puzzles that will challenge and surprise you.
Look closely Gamers!

Safecracker Puzzle - Can you find the combination? The goal is to arrange the 16 rows so that the total sum of each row is the same. Some of the numbers shown are covered by the turntables, so not all of them are needed, which makes this puzzle very hard to solve. Can you find the solution? Very challenging Mathematical puzzle! #puzzle #safepuzzle #hardpuzzle #math #mathpuzzle https://www.instagram.com/p/CkysvyeJu02/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Thanksgiving and after
I have been meaning to write for days and it just keeps not happening! So here I am FINALLY doing it!
We had a great Thanksgiving!
Kristi and Justin went to her aunt's, her dad's, his uncle's and his sister's! They were busy all day! Kristi started the day by making a second batch of mini caramel apple pies...they were super yummy! She made her first batch was the day before and they weren't quite the same. The second ones were definitely better!!
Brittany and Bobby had left the week before to spend time in Texas with his family.
We went to Jen's house and were honorary Gould's for the day. I made some awesome mashed potatoes and Paul made his mom's famous chocolate pie. Jen made turkey and it was delicious! She sliced it like a pro! Van made Prime Rib and another Roast. There was dressing, salad, quiche, green bean casserole, plenty of pie, and wine and mead!! It was a feast. Both her brothers were there, her daughter Lisa, and other friends. We watched the Dallas Cowboys fail to show up for their game, ate a lot and drank more than usual!
After that we headed to Paul's dad's house where Paul ate again, but I was still STUFFED. We had a nice time visiting with Tom and Beth and Hope.
Friday we headed to the climbing gym with Frank and after a little climbing, I met Jen at her gym and did my first spin class.
Saturday I did a little shopping and we worked on our puzzle. Late Saturday night/early Sunday morning Brittany and Bobby made it home!
Sunday we climbed again. Afterwards I came home and made an awesome meatloaf that went marvelously with the left over mashed potatoes. Then we worked on our puzzle.
I will probably be repeating that puzzle theme for a few more posts! Here is our progress as of the end of the weekend.
We were so excited to get that section to connect the left side to the bottom!
