Talent and Hardwork
Can we please just take a moment to understand how constantly praising people for possessing great talent in a field is hurting others, those who may not be very talented but are passionate about their field, who only hear praise for those who posses this gift from birth. Can we please praise hard work and dedications as much as we praise talent? Loving to sing or dance or paint or anything else, but sucking at it is a hard fact to face,and people who work toward bettering themselves need to be appreciated just as much as those who can hit a high note, do a perfect routine, or sketch effortlessly. Because being told “You have amazing talent!” should not mean more than “You really care about your passion and it’s inspiring to see you work hard towards what you really love”
