It’s like their children, all over again, despite being thirty year old men. They’re living (or existing at least) in the same house they grew up in. They have started training together again, all of them have, mostly to help Vanya train given what had happened in the other timeline, to help her control her power and to fight back if (or when) they found themselves in need again, like if Hazel and Cha Cha came back in this timeline. 

Ben had always been the type to weave and bob out of the way of attacks, wear his opponent out before attacking. That habit had spurred Diego on when they were in the training room and he kept taunting him. So, he did what he was told and did a fake out, going as if he was going to punch with his left hand only to punch his his right and followed it up with a front snap kick to put more distance between the two of them.

  . ﾟ * ｡ ･        “ yeah. ”   she can’t meet his eyes.  there’s accusation in them --- she didn’t tell him.  she wasn’t planning on it,  either.  seeing that look again,  that look in his eyes,  it’s enough to make her consider stopping just to not see it again,  that worry.  dawn has never known what to do when the concern she expresses for everyone else is turned back on her ;  she freezes every time.  the guilt of worrying someone sits on her chest until she drags herself out of it.  she can’t forget any of it --- the fear in dick’s eyes as she bled out on the concrete,  the relief in hank’s when she woke up,  the flood of relief in rachel’s.  dawn doesn’t like being responsible for all of that.  

    but she’s back to square one and he’s looking at her like she’s just slapped him.  she might as well have.  what was she supposed to do,  send a greeting card ?  hey diego,  i just woke up from a month long coma,  how are you ?  of course not,  he would’ve ---------- god,  she doesn’t want to know what he would’ve done.
