ino thinks a lot about the rarity of their time together. temari’s visits are always short lived , and no matter how many days or weeks she spends in the village , those days feel especially shorter. she can’t say when exactly she started to notice it , but when those days do come , when temari is only a reach away , and their words and actions don’t feel so rare , ino has learned not to take those days for granted.

so when a soft palm slides over the back of her hand , it’s automatic , her own turning over the counter top to wedge her fingers through. her gaze lifts from the dessert recipes currently splayed out , and finds temari bent over the counter as well , seemingly distracted by something on the wall. her cheeks are a bit pink , shy , maybe , but ino is endeared by it. 

ino happily slides a step closer , chin cradled in the hand not holding temari’s , and smiles around her words , “ what do you think , tema? should we make chocolate cake , or salted caramels? ”

                ( ino thinks a lot about the rarity of their time together ,                                          but it’s the rare moments like these that ino thinks about the most. )

               HE   KNOWS   IT   to be just as orochimaru says:  strong shinobi are not consigned to the lands of fire  &  grass alone.  a true hawk,  the wingspan of his talents could only expand on a choice variety of opponents.  at the very least,  he finds it only convenient that such prolific enemies to the sound are found out here,  hiding in these far -- off dunes..
