There is a strong longing for me to go home... How is Taren-Sei doing without his mother? Every day since I’ve came to this place, I think about you and him. Yet, I’m unable to come home, at least until I can complete my task.
A long few days it has been for me, doing tasks for the locals and guilds. Regrettably, in some cases due to the nature of the locals and how they treat me like the nobles in Leyawiin did. Even a few of them have called me ‘slave’...
Which, I do not enjoy, obviously, but I’m trying to put up with this so I do come home quicker... Also, Vvardenfell is a strange but has some very beautiful places. There are strange creatures called ‘Guar’, which the Dunmer eat, and they use a creatures called ‘Netches’ for the means of transportation. Cliff racers, another native creature of Morrowind, swarm about around this land and keep pestering me on my travels, when on the road. How the natives deal with these obnoxious beasts on a more-or-less daily basis is beyond me... I, besides wandering through the wilderness, have been staying in the town of Balmora, or at least just using it as a base of operations and to story my things. Not that it’s some large mansion, it’s actually a little house but very cozy and homely. Got it for only around the fairly small amount of five hundred gold, which I find not to be that bad, considering it took us one thousand five twenty five septims to get our house.
Now, besides that, I’ve fairly recently, actually just the other day, became part of the Mages Guild. Either through the fact I have easy transportation to the other towns or that I have easy access to spells, being part of this guild, thankfully not full of locals, has proven useful in this foreign land. Rather, they make this horrible experience a tad bit better and I’ve head rumor of the Thieves Guild being here... Eventually, I think I’ll likely will run into them, willing or not, which makes me a little worried about my belongings... Very uneasy about losing gold, which reminds me, this letter should also have a sum of eighty gold... Almost all of my gold to help feed our son, you and Kaneen. Reader, if you are not my husband, that gold better be in with that letter otherwise I will hunt you down and steal it from your corpse.
Pardon me, my love, but I want to make sure you can keep you fed and to pay the taxes also... Remembering when we taught Teren-Sei his first letters and words. Often those happy memories come to be more I fall asleep. Pains me every morning to wake up with you not by my side. Hope I can return before the next year. Even if I have to swim myself off this accursed island. Could happen if this mission turns out impossible, but until then I’m going to keep the Legion off my tail. You will be on my mind always.
