New Puppet Unlocked: Lady Gangle, The Bashful Slithery Chronicler
Gangle's character description:
Born to....
A-actually, I don't know. But, she was forced to be on stage as soon as the rise of Puppets overtook the world as we know it, leading her to don many masks for her performances.
The second last of the main cast to be reformed, Gangle is soft-spoken, typically submissive; leading to either looks of irritation, pity or mischief casted upon her. Never speaking, unless spoken to first-- resulting in accidental jumpscares due to how typically quiet and reserved she is.
When not in a middle of a fight, she often encourages Pomni to explore the more open areas of the city, to look for lost writings of the past. Her excuse? "To catch up on what you missed".
Why does she often stare at the others for prolonged periods of time?
Fun facts about Gangle:
She can play the piano really well.
She can make various shapes with her ribbons, and she actually does this for shadow puppeting for someone if they want to see it
She will not sleep without hugging at least something.
She addresses everyone with a formal prefix. example being, "Miss Pomni", "Sir Jax", "Miss Ragatha", "Mr. Kingr", and "Master Caine". The only exception is Z.
The bells on her is a result of her being so quiet, that every puppet on the manor became paranoid of her "sneaking around".
Drawing is not just a past time; it's a comfort hobby of hers.
She draws Caine the most, because Caine reacts the most to her drawings.
She draws Kingr the least, because it's hard to find a good angle with him and the king's jittery self.
She's very good at improv. Give her a prompt to work with, and she'll run with it seamlessly.
She's unsuprisingly good at singing.
She will sometimes "parrot" words back to people after they finish speaking a sentence-- and Gangle doesn't notice it at first until judgemental/confused stares are casted on her for it.
She also likes to do random noises, especially when drawing. When asked, she only replies that it makes her feel soothed, and she doesn't really notice that she's doing the noises in the first place.
One of her ribbons was taken from her by Jax, and is now wrapped around his hammer.
She likes to perch on high pillars/supports of the Manor, wrapping her ribbons on them like a snake.
She's actually responsible for the portraits of the gang. It hangs beside their dorms, to signify who owns the rooms.
To this day, Caine still can't figure out how it's possible for Gangle (and Statues/Statuettes in general) to be able to access first stage by default, in order to make their physical functions possible.
Gangle's mask is sturdier, but can still crack and break under the right pressure/impact.
Speaking of her mask, Gangle's mask is a special type of mask that allows an unusual kind of paint to be manipulated, creating an animated look and facial expressions.
The paint can be smudged/erased, and Jax typically likes to wipe the paint off to mess with her.
When the mask breaks, Gangle is momentarily disoriented-- losing balance and visibility when left without one.
Therefore, Gangle keeps an emergency, not-easily-broken mask until the main one is fixed. But this comes with some... issues, since her personality is often reflected through masks.
Gangle can "taste" through her ribbons. Kingr has compared her to a butterfly ever since.
Unfortunately, she cannot eat. Not normally, that is.
She has a habit of staring at others, as if her head is high above the clouds.
Other puppets have noted she typically stares around the chest area, or where the puppet's core is situated. No one knows why this is.
She finds Z's company comforting, despite the Figurine not really reciprocating at first.
Hers and Z's friendship has led her to tackle the art of sculpting, and is one of their main bonding past times.
Strangely enough, her stories.... sometimes makes other puppets uncomfortable due to how close it hits home.
