I don’t want to complain on here, especially because I want my tumblr page to remain a positive and uplifting place but…

Has anyone else been constantly bombarded with racism in the community regarding Gangle’s human design?

I’ve seen more white washed drawings of her since episode 9 came out than canonically accurate drawings. I’ve seen derogatory posts complaining that she’s not a skinny white girl with white hair. I’ve seen people straight up denying the fact that she’s Indian in favour of making her white passing. I’ve seen art where everything about her design is accurate, except her skin colour which has been changed into white. I’ve seen meme posts mocking the actress who plays her. I saw a post on instagram where someone white washed her and the comments were filled with shit like ‘are people afraid of white people or what, who cares if they changed gangles race’ something else I noticed is people complaining she’s not short and ‘petite’ (shivers, ew)

What’s worse is that it seems to be such a large portion of the community, or maybe I’ve been unlucky enough to have been in the wrong spaces at the wrong times. But it hurts to see people being so downright ignorant and blatantly racist and the worst part is that I don’t see people challenging this and it’s made me feel crazy for being angry about it.

Anyway vent over. I love gangle and the design goose chose for her.
