A mother and daughter Harley Quinn
Two Harleys in a Pod: A mother and daughter Harley Quinn story
Once upon a time, a 29-year-old woman named Eva, who loved cosplay for a living, headed to the public carnival with her friends. Eva was a talented cosplayer who loved to dress up as her favorite characters and share her creations with the world. Her most beloved character to cosplay was Harley Quinn, the iconic villain from the Batman universe.
Like usual, she cosplays as Harley Quinn in her custom-made classic suit with the red and black bodysuit, white collar and cuffs, gloves, and jester hat. Eva is a content creator who makes a living from her social media posts. Eva is five foot six, skinny, with solid glutes and short dark brown hair.“Today is a good day for the carnival,” she said, talking to her friends Cole and Jess. “Great, I'll get the camera and record what you want,” Cole said. “And I'll drive,” said Jess.
They drive five miles to reach a carnival on a pier packed with people. Before entering, they notice a bus named St. Mary’s Home of Orphan Children. “Good for them; making children happy is the best they can do since they don't have families,” Evas said. Jess starts to cry, but Cole intervenes and says, “cmon let's not ruin a good day.” They move along.
Eva makes videos of her shooting baskets, slamming the hammer to reach the top, throwing darts, popping balloons, throwing rings at bottles, and getting in the Ferris wheel. Jess beat Eva at almost every game and even won a stuffed bear. Eva was jealous because she wanted a Joker plush toy. Nonetheless, they're still having fun, especially since people took photos with Harley (Eva, hehe).
Taking a break, the trio went to get some corn dogs. Eva went to use the restroom since they were waiting in line. Using the restroom, she hears the sound of a child crying. “Hello? Is there someone there?” No reply; nothing but crying. Eva walks to the stall door and knocks, “Please, I just want to help.” The door then opens to reveal an upset little girl. “Sweetie, what's wrong?” Eva asks. The little girl says, “I can't find my mom and dad.” “I'll help you. What's your name?” “Charlotte.” “Nice to meet you, Charlotte. My name is Eva.” After a pause, “How old are you?” Charlotte replies, “Nine.”
“I like Harley Quinn even though I don't know much about her,” Charlotte said. “Really? I'm a cosplayer, making money for a living on social media. Now, come on, let's go find your parents.” Charlotte says, “I can't go out like this crying.” Eva then remembers the Harley Quinn custom costume her mother made that, for some reason, is still in the back trunk of the car. “If it makes you feel any better, I can give you my first Harley costume my mother made me when I was 10.” Charlotte agrees.
Eva goes outside the park and grabs her Harley Quinn custom-made costume her mother made in the 90s. Her mother bought two pairs of bodysuits and two pairs of tights and split them together. She made the collar with white ruffle fabric; she cut it into oval shapes to add the neck ruffle. She also added fluffy white balls sewn to the tips with bells. It's the same for the cuffs. She attached some diamond cutouts to the costume. In addition to the costume, she bought red and black slippers and added a triangle shape on the back with a bell on each tip. Lastly, she took the other halves of the suits and converted them into the Harley Quinn jester hat.
Eva returns to the bathroom from the car with the costume. “Here, put this on. It will make you have fun as well as feel better!” “Okay, Eva, I'll close the door to change it. I'm trusting you.” Charlotte then proceeded to change, slipping on every piece of the costume.
Eva pulls out her emergency makeup as Charlotte puts on the Harley Quinn costume. It was the white clown make-up, eyelashes, and a dark marker so she could draw the Harley mask on her eyes across from her nose. Charlotte emerges from the stall wearing the bodysuit, slippers, cuffs, collar, and jester hat, saying, “Wow, I have never felt so comfortable before.” “You're about to look better. Let me apply this makeup on your face.” Eva then covers the little girl's face with white clown makeup. She then draws the Harley mask exactly the size around her eyebrows, crossing the nose, and colors the inside in. “Knock knock pudin’. Meet the new and adorable Harley Quinn.”
Charlotte looks at the mirror and smiles big. She gasps. “I'm a clown superhero!” Eva laughs. "You're not just a superhero; you're Harley Quinn, the coolest villain in Gotham City!" Charlotte, spinning around in costume, said, “I can't believe I get to be Harley Quinn! This is so awesome!" Eva, “I think you look cute in that outfit, too.” Charlotte then says, “Wow, I look so cool! I love the red and black, just like the real Harley."
Eva: playfully. "Now, remember, Harley Quinn is mischievous and fearless. Are you ready to cause some chaos at the carnival?" Charlotte is grinning. "Eva! Let's show them how Harley Quinn does it!"
After Charlotte's transformation into Harley Quinn, Eva, Jess, and Cole spent the next few hours enjoying the carnival together. The trio played games, rode thrilling rides, took pictures of the colorful attractions, and created lasting memories filled with laughter and joy.
The group tries their luck at the ring toss game, where they compete to see who can toss the most rings onto the bottles to win prizes. Charlotte surprises everyone with her accuracy and wins a stuffed animal.
They move on to the balloon pop game, where they use darts to pop balloons in hopes of revealing hidden prizes. Eva and Jess compete against each other while Charlotte cheers them on and offers moral support.
Eva challenges Cole to a game of Whack-a-Mole, where they both wield mallets to hit the toy moles as they pop up. The competitive spirit between the two friends adds to the fun and excitement.
Charlotte expresses her interest in trying the shooting gallery game, where she gets to aim and shoot at targets to earn points. With Eva's guidance, Charlotte discovers a hidden talent for marksmanship and impresses everyone with her skills.
They visit the duck pond game, where players pick up ducks floating in a pond to reveal hidden prizes. Cole jokes about his "lucky duck" and wins a small trinket.
Charlotte suggests they play the bean bag toss game. They aim to throw bean bags through holes in a wooden board to score points. The group cheers each other on as they take turns trying to hit the targets.
Throughout these games, laughter, friendly competition, and shared moments of victory create a sense of camaraderie among the group. As they immerse themselves in the carnival activities, little do they know that a heartfelt revelation from Charlotte will deepen their connection and change the dynamics of their day in unexpected ways.
As they wandered through the bustling carnival grounds, Charlotte's eyes sparkled with excitement as she embraced her role as Harley Quinn. She won games and showed off her skills with a playful confidence that warmed Eva's heart. Even Jess found himself impressed by Charlotte's competitive spirit, as she managed to outshine him in one of the games, earning a proud grin from Eva.
Eva: laughing. "Wow, Charlotte! You're a natural at this. Maybe you should consider becoming a professional gamer."Charlotte: beaming, "Thanks, Eva! I'm having so much fun. I never want this day to end."Cole: snapping pictures. "You two make quite the dynamic duo. The pictures are going to turn out amazing."
The group continued to explore the carnival, soaking in the vibrant atmosphere and enjoying each other's company. As the sun began to set and the carnival lights illuminated the night sky, Eva felt a sense of contentment and happiness that she hadn't experienced in a long time.
Eva smiles at Charlotte, "You know, Charlotte, I'm so glad we met today. You've brought so much joy into our lives." Charlotte hugs Eva, "Thank you for everything, Eva. This has been the best day ever."
Just as the group was about to head to their next adventure, Charlotte's expression suddenly shifted, and a look of distress crossed her face. Before Eva could ask what was wrong, Charlotte hesitated, her eyes uncertain.
“Charlotte, is that you?” Eva, with relief, smiled at what appeared to be her mom. “Hi, you must be her mom.” “No, I am not.”Then whoa are you?” “I am Victoria Salazar, the leader of taking the orphan children on a trip today.” “Ok, what does this have to do with Charlette? And how do you know-” Eva suddenly stopped and slowly turned to Charlotte. Charlotte bit her lip. "Um, Eva, I need to tell you something..." “Why do you sound like that…?” “Please forgive me, but I lied. I don't have parents. I'm with the orphan kids.” “Why would you lie to me!?” Eva yelled. Charlotte, tearing up, “Because I've been trying so hard to get someone to adopt me.” Eva said, “Oh. I'm sure someone will take you in their family one day.” Charollete crying. “What!? I wanted you! I want you to be my mom. I'm still you're little Harleh, right!?” Eva, “I… I… I… can't.” “Why?! After all we went through today!? Please, please, please adopt me.” “I'm sorry, but I'm not good enough to be your mom or a parent. I'm sorry, Charolltette.” Charlotte then shoves Eva and runs off.
As Charlotte runs off, upset and feeling rejected, Eva's heart sinks at the sight of the young girl's pain. She knows that her decision not to adopt Charlotte has hurt her deeply, and she regrets not being able to give her the family she so desperately longs for. Jess and Cole, unaware of the situation, approach Eva with concerned looks on their faces.
Jess: "Eva, what's going on? Why is Charlotte upset?"Eva: Tears well up in her eyes. "I couldn't adopt her, Jess. Charlotte is from the orphanage, and she was hoping someone would find and adopt her."Cole: shocked. "Oh no, I had no idea. That must have been so hard for her to hear."Eva: nodding. "I know, and I feel terrible about it. She thought we had formed a bond, but I... I can't take on that responsibility right now."Jess comforts Eva, "It's okay, Eva. You have to do what's best for you. But maybe we can still help Charlotte in some way."Eva, wiping away her tears, says, "You're right, Jess. I can't let her go through this alone. We have to find her."
Together, Eva, Jess, and Cole search for Charlotte, determined to make things right and offer her the support she needs. After some time, they find her in a secluded area, changed back into her regular clothes, with tears streaming down her face as she throws her beloved Harley Quinn costume in the trash.
Eva: approaching Charlotte. "Charlotte, please, let me explain..." Charlotte: sobbing. "I thought you cared about me, Eva. I thought we had something special."Eva: kneeling beside her. "We do, Charlotte. I care about you more than you know. But I can't be the mother you deserve right now." Charlotte: looking up at Eva, "Why not? Why can't you be my mom?"Eva: Take a deep breath. "I... I'm not ready for that kind of commitment. I want to focus on my career and my passion for cosplay. I'm sorry, Charlotte."
Charlotte is heartbroken. "After everything we've been through today, you don't want to adopt me? After our Harley Quinn mother and child-like bonding?" Eva feels the weight of her words. "I know, Charlotte. I'm so sorry. But please know I will always care about you and want the best for you." Charlotte wipes her tears. "I understand, Eva. I just... I just wanted a family."
Eva: embracing Charlotte. "And you will find a family, Charlotte. I promise you that. You are strong and brave and deserve all the love in the world."
As Eva and Charlotte share a tender moment of understanding and acceptance, Eva vows to support Charlotte in finding a loving home where she belongs. Despite the pain of their parting, Eva knows that their bond as Harley Quinn and her sidekick will always hold a special place in both hearts, a reminder of the connection they shared during their brief but impactful time together. And as they say their goodbyes, Eva watches Charlotte walk away.
As the days pass, Eva finds herself haunted by the memory of Charlotte and the pain she caused by not adopting her. Every night, she lies awake, tormented by guilt and regret, wishing she had made a different choice. Jess, a supportive friend throughout the ordeal, notices Eva's anguish and decides to have a heartfelt conversation with her.
One evening, as they sit together in Eva's living room, Jess gently broaches the topic weighing heavily on Eva's heart.
Jess: "Eva, I can see how Charlotte's situation affects you. It's clear that you care deeply about her."
Eva: wiping away her tears. "I can't shake the feeling that I made a mistake, Jess. I can't stop thinking about her and the pain she must be going through."
Jess, placing a hand on Eva's shoulder, says, "You know, Eva, I've been thinking a lot about this, too. Your bond with Charlotte is special, like two peas in a pod. How could you not be her mother?"
Eva: looking up, her eyes filled with emotion. "I know, Jess. I feel like I let her down when she needed me the most. I wish I could go back and change things."
Jess offers a reassuring smile: "Maybe you can, Eva. It's not too late to make things right. Charlotte needs you, and deep down, I think you need her, too."
Eva: considering Jess's words, "You think so? But what if I'm not cut out to be a mother? What if I can't give her the love and support she deserves?"Jess firmly "Eva, you have a big heart and so much love to give. You may not have planned for this, but sometimes, the most meaningful relationships come when we least expect them. Charlotte needs a mother, and you can be that for her."Eva felt a glimmer of hope. "You're right, Jess. I can't keep ignoring this feeling in my heart. I have to do something.”
With newfound resolve, Eva reached out to the orphanage where Charlotte resided, expressing her sincere intention to adopt the young girl. The process was met with paperwork, discussions, and interviews, but Eva was unwavering in her commitment to providing Charlotte with the stability and love she deserved.
After nearly a month, what felt like an eternity of anticipation, the day finally arrived. When Eva visits the orphanage, she sees Charlotte and immediately hugs her. Charlotte says, “Eva? What are you doing here?”. “Hang on, I have a surprise. I'll be back.” Charlotte heads to her room. Eva returns with adoption papers. “What?! You're adopting me?!” “Yes, Charlotte, I am. I don't think I can live my life without my little Harley.” Charlotte then cries and hugs her new mom. “I love you, mom. And Harley.” “I love you too.”
With tears streaming down her cheeks, Eva embraced Charlotte, feeling a sense of completeness and joy she had never experienced. Jess and Cole stood by, their eyes filled with pride and support, knowing that this moment began a beautiful journey for Eva and Charlotte. As they walked out of the orphanage, hand in hand, Eva and Charlotte embarked on a new chapter of their lives together, united by love, understanding, and the unbreakable bond of a mother and daughter.
They then head to Eva's house, where she presents Charlotte Harley Quinn's Costume. “My costume!” “What do you say? The first thing we do together is head to the playground. Just you and me.” “Ok, mom. Let's become Harley once more.” “I wanted us to do that anyway,” she replied. They then put on their costumes, and Eva applies white clown makeup to Charlotte's face while attaching an eye mask. “I love you, my little Harley.” “I love you too, Harley,” Charlotte replies. They then walk on the road, hold hands, and skip toward the sunset, laughing, knowing their bond with the famous DC Comics Character made them family.
Bondage.
