there was something to be said about finding one's muse in the midst of chaos. chaos for him meant the lockdown. long, excruciating hours where the worst of the worst could be thought of. what remembered about the ' muse ' quote was that it didn't mention the kind of work you would produce when the world was nothing but chaotic. he's learned over the years that even that could be controlled. words could be hopeful, writhing in pain, or the longest train of thought you'd ever had for quite a while. so now that he was in the library, post-therapy, with not a lot to do, he decided to see what could kick in. he spotted the same dated thesaurus that somehow gave him comfort ( they had the same copy back at his family's bookstore in san francisco ) and he thought he had a firm grip on it but he had dropped it, causing a loud thud that felt like it went on for miles. drew winced at the sound, noticing a figure close by. face flushed, he apologized, " i am so sorry.
