I have no idea why it didn't bother me. I was just so concerned about the germs. I mean that was just so unsanitary. He could've carried around hand sanitizer or something. God. People have no manners these days. Wash your hands after you masturbate people.

Hey College person. (: Can ya try and answer this for me? How did coca cola come to be seen as an American value? How did this help and hurt coca cola (and in some ways America itself?)
Hey boo! Like when you say value i assume you mean something engrained in our culture.
this is probably a better answer than i can give.
Coke came so ingrained in American culture due to it’s record sales and wide popularity that it became as synonymous with America as the cheese burger. It has and will always be one of the main food exports from the united states. As a democratic and capitalist society, the united states makes it’s money and business off of consumerism and coca cola plays a large part in that. Coca Cola is probably one of the most recognizable brands in the world as well. However whether that is a good or bad thing stands to be seen. Since Coca Cola is so market dominant in recent years (not even pepsi comes close now a days) it is nearly impossible for competitors to even approach let alone be successful in the market. Competition in the market is what a capitalist society like the United States thrives off of hence why back in 1911 Standard Oil was broken up by the US Supreme Court under the Sherman Antitrust Act because it controlled such a large sector of the US economy that if Standard Oil went down, so did the entire US economy. When they did break up the company, they simply sectioned it off into smaller buisnesses to reduce economic risk thereby creating companies like Exxon and Mobil (which today is Exxon-Mobil) and foreging the ability for other oil companies to compete with smaller buisnesses and perpetuation the capitalist ideal of market competition. The purpose in mentioning that is because Standard Oil is an example of a monopoly and the most renowned and well known case of one in the world. In a sense, Coca Cola can be seen as a monopoly as well, which as i said before, doesn’t allow for competition in the market. That is not to say there isn’t competition, it’s to say that it is nearly impossible to compete with the Coca Cola franchise since it is so well known. In summary, Coca Cola has been a great thing for the american economy. It has helped sprout competition like Pepsi (during the depression era) and other soft drink companies, in addition to bringing in revenue into the united states economy. It has hurt the economy by not allowing those companies to compete with them at the same level that they are in the market. No company on earth could take on Coca Cola at the level it is at now and succeed.
I hope that helped a bit alex
