exactly. my parents are seperated so it was a bit easier, because my mum is way more liberal, so I told her about 6 months before I told my dad. But yeah, I just said “I know that I am not straight”

I HAVE BEEN THERE MAN. At first they did just think it was a phase, but now i’ve brought a few partners home in the last few years, and my mum is just really cool with it now.
ah this is actually really comforting. i guess if i tell them and they dismiss it, at least i've got it out there and they can't be surprised when i go out with someone who isn't a guy??
