REMOTE CONTROL : A Video Art Project “An amazing noisy trip through the TV channels” Remote Control is a project related to television started in 2007. The idea is to design and create TV related artifacts such as live performance and physical releases. This short video reports a live performance that involves Matteo Uggeri [Hue, Sparkle in Grey, Moriremo Tutti records) and Luca Sigurtà (Harshcore, Luminance Ratio), and takes place Tagofest (Italy) in 2011. The first source of sound and images is a TV set which is put in front of the audience and watched live by a selected spectator, Michele Mazzani of Palustre Records. His zapping provides the audio sources to the laptop of Uggeri that works on the sounds, while Sigurtà provides additional extreme sounds that often overwhelm the TV soundtrack. The TV is also shown to the audience through a beamer, so the people watch the zapping, the musicians and the spectator in a awkward combination of disturbing sources. moriremotutti.com/remote_control.htm [Video taken by Joseph Sannicadro at Tagofest VII, July 2011, Marina di Massa, Italy]
