Kyoko was close to finding the truth of an assassination attempt at her school. Unfortunately, while fiddling with her phone, she noticed the shadow in the dark corner of her office a bit too late.

Having a knife directly against her neck was not what the detective had expected for the night, much less having the knife being wielded by the Ultimate Assassin of the school.

Fortunately, Maki was there with a plan. Kyoko fired back with a plan of her own.

And Ruruka Ando is there as well, for some reason.

kyoko x maki headcanons!!

heyyyoooo sooo ummmm pratically no one ships this as its a VERY RAIR PAIR BUT UM I LOVE THEM SO HERE ARE SOME HEADCANONS. Also I came up with the ship name Murder Mystery!!

- kyoko is asexual, demiromantic and pan

- maki is greysexual, demiromantic and bi

- since the both of them usually hate social events, they have a list of excuses attached to the fridge door to get out of situations 

- they love to watch action films that have murder mystery aspects to it and lots of twists and turns 

- their ideal date nights are having a picnic late at night in the park when its empty, just sitting in a parking lot with something to drink late at night and talking/cuddling in the road or just cuddling up in bed with a movie on and take out!

- if kyoko is cold maki will give her her jacket 

- when maki is having a panic attatck/flashbacks then kyoko will run her hands through Maki's hair and remind her of where she is and whats happening 

- kyoko was really scared of taking off her gloves in front of maki but one day when they were getting ready for bed kyoko was putting her gloves in the wash, expecting maki to be out late working but instead came home early. kyoko quickly hid her hands and maki was confused. maki didn’t pressure her but knew something was up so she left it alone. later on kyoko accidentally caught maki changing (they usually respect each others privacy although this was an accident) and caught a glimpse of her scars (from being an assasin). both girls didn’t want to invade on their privacy but they wanted to let the other know that now matter the scars, they still loved each other. while sitting on the couch the next time they both spoke at the same time and eventually said they didnt care what their bodies looked like and what scars they had, they loved each other no matter what. 

- they love to do each other's hair and play with each others hair 

- people are legit intimidated and scared of them. like they are both so cold and distant but one is so smart and the other is super athletic 

- if anyone dares messes with them then kyoko or maki, whoever wasn't hurt will definitely go after whoever hurt the other 

- every since kyoko met maki she's been more confident in dressing alt/punk and being herself 

- both the girls don't really have families/homes to go to so during the holidays kyoko and maki usually spend it at makoto's house or kaedes house

- when something special happens (i.e. a promotion, or kyoko solves a big case) then they will dress up really fancy and go to a nice restaurant and like scare all the customers with their dark lesbian aura 

- both of them dont really like pda but they still cling to each other in public

a quick lore rundown.. (both images below made/drawn by me)

- kira haruhi is the ultimate neurosurgeon. her personality is akin to kyoko's; blunt, abrasive but she shows more emotion than her. she grew up as a prodigy, born to be a neurosurgeon by her mother's demands.

- they met through the killing game, as always, but they were considered to be 'pretty close' during their highschool lives.

- due to her mother's success, she's wealthy, but doesn't flaunt it. she's already being accused of being a nepo baby by the media.

- not much i can say.. she's neurodivergent.
