Ehrlich gesagt ich weiß es nicht mehr genau was da jetzt alles wo angestöpselt war. Auf jeden Fall bekommt sie so ein Medikament dass das Wasser irgendwie da wieder rauskommt und dann irgendwie über Hahrn abgelassen wird, so wie ich das verstanden hab. Ich bin ja noch nicht da aber Mama hat n paar Mal angerufen.
Ich finde es nur wieder ganz, ganz toll vom Krankenhaus, dass die keine Ahnung von Patientenversorgung haben. Ich weiß ja, dass Kapazität immer so eine Sache ist, aber da meine Ma halt heute ins Lokalkrankenhaus verlegt wurde, wurde sie wieder mit drei anderen Leuten ins gleiche Zimmer gelegt und da ist wohl eine ziemlich dominante Zimtzcike die sowohl das Fenster als auch die Zimmertür sperrangelweit offen haben muss. Das steigert natürlich das Lungenentzündungsrisiko meiner Mutter aber Argumente bringen beim Krankenhauspersonal anscheinend nichts, weil die andere Tante da gleich rumpöbelt und was weiß ich was :S

//Sorry this is gonna get looooooong— I sort of wanted to rant about the game LOL. So I’m going to throw this under a cut.
Yeah, I’ve been playing Mermaid Gothic because the Little Mermaid is one of my favourite fairy tales (๑◔‿◔๑). So far I’ve done Elias -> Basil -> Loki -> Gawain -> Dan in that order but I have to say starting with Elias was a pretty terrible choice because his route was a massive kill joy for me despite him having the osananajimi advantage over me.
His route is…pretty frustrating, not gonna lie. If you don’t mind shoujo manga where the complication is that everyone just fails to communicate with each other then you’ll probably find it okay (think something like Peach Girl), but that was definitely not for me. Ignoring that, I did feel for Elias in Gawain’s route though, because by then you actually know why he did what he did. His bad ends were also….good. (。≖ˇ◡◡ˇ≖｡) <- likes angst.
For most of the routes (as far as I can tell), the whole thing relies on the characters not realising who they are to eachother…AND THAT’S A PRETTY HORRIBLE WAY OF KEEPING US INTERESTED. As the player it’s obvious who they are but there’s all this “I can’t do this because that”, “oh no what should I do?” which irritated me to no end. The problem doesn’t end there…but once Lydia does her thing to Basil……..the problem is resolved in literally two lines. They irritate us for 7 chapters and solve the issue in 2 lines. The last time something like that happened to me was Solomon’s Ring.
Although, after that the game was decent-ish. There’s like a 100 different ways of being more direct about Lydia’s situation which I’m sure were conveniently ignored for the sake of word count but that level of annoyance was only very slight in comparison to the first 7 chapters of the game. Exclusive of Elias’ route. No srsly I couldn’t handle his route, it was too dumb shoujo manga.
Basil was, as I expected, very….sweet I suppose. But his explanation for why he started trying to capture mermaids was questionable. At least until I did Loki’s route which fixed that….sort of. And even then some of the characters’ actions could just be summed up with “seriously?” and “well, isn’t that convenient”.
But normally it wouldn’t matter if you don’t think about it too deeply because when you do, there’s no going back: how is Lydia able to keep that kind of personality after being imprisoned for 10 years, how is she not more depressed/mentally unstable, Elias doesn’t even seem to question the King’s motive for letting Lydia free, Loki is pretty terrible at showing affection to Lydia despite being a total control freak over her, they should have explained Gawain’s obsession with Basil instead of getting us to swallow it as fact, the King is a terrible father and we’re supposed to forgive him because the game calls for it, how does Elias and Lydia know anything about human anatomy, why does everyone seem to just go with the flow and THEN question everything halfway.
Now for something I can actually praise about the game, the characters themselves, yeah they’re all very likeable. There’s no one I actually dislike on principle of their personality (I particularly like Dan HE’S SO CUTE. FD ROUTE PLS QR!). Loki is great too because he’s a massive piece of trash hahaha, sort of like Sumeragi in Jooubachi to a lesser extent. I’ve yet to try the Pirate’s route but Botan looks interesting! His name sounds really stupid tho imo (but this game has a prince named after a herb so…).
I haven’t thrown my PSP out the window yet so in the end I’m still sort of enjoying it (I think the biggest redeeming factor is the characters interactions, like you said). Sort of.
I haven’t done Laura’s end yet so I’m genuinely curious if it’ll follow the yan end trends though. But other than freaking me out a little, I don’t feel any animosity toward her lol.
Haha, sorry if I completely destroyed anyone’s opinion of the game, but if you can ignore all the things I pointed out, there’s no reason why it should stop you from liking it. I just wouldn’t call it a masterpiece or anything.

Gosh well, in my case, Makoto is "only" 8 months younger than me BUT STILL! I'm used to liking boys older than me and having such a tall young man who's younger than me that is… ok at least he's 18 like me thats ok...
