[Text: Haru] I had a really bad dream and I need to talk to you.
[Text: Makoto] Of course. What was it? What happened?

Send me one of the following for a journal entry from my muse.An entry about a day my muse felt particularly good on.
This morning started out well enough. A bath, Makoto came and we had breakfast, my train was on time to get to the Aquatic Center, and I wore my favorite jammers.
Started stretching and then I was about to do my laps but the coach wanted to do time trials instead. We weren’t told what it was for but I participated and announced as being the fastest in Free. Afterward, the coach promoted me to the Olympic team based on my times and a few other things. He didn’t explain.
I suppose I could write and gush in here but I would prefer not to.
I’m finally going to be on an Olympic team. I’ll be able to swim alongside Rin again and compete for my dream.
The Perfect Storm

In the bright morning light, the Iwatobi was bustling with life. Men and women were already walking aboard the decks and going about their business. It was a smaller village-like ship that held several families and a few small shops but it was the fishermen and the merchants that kept them going. The continuous breeze and the gentle rocking of the boat kept the ship desirable, but it was their leader that made them feel most safe.
One of the fishermen's wives had come running from the docks, her bare feet slapping on the wood until she made it to the stairs where their commander lived. "Makoto! Makoto! There's something on the waves!" Her voice carried and soon, curious men with their nets on their shoulders and their wives with children clinging to their skirts were listening to her. "There's a great storm on the horizon, my husband claims it could put the Iwatobi into the murky depths! He's not seen one so violent before, please, Makoto, we must hoist anchor and move."
The woman didn't quite understand that the anchor of the Iwatobi had been snared in the bottom of the ocean long ago, it wouldn't budge an inch and no one knew why. There were multiple anchors that had been dropped since, pinning the large barge-like ship to the same spot. Mid-way through the middle of the ocean, that was why it made the place so famous among merchants.
Mutterings stirred up behind her, a few of the men already laughing and shaking their heads but the women were looking to the sky, seeing the dark blot on the horizon's very edge. The storm was much larger than it let on and it was coming up from the south. One of the commander's men, a redheaded, shark toothed thief covered in quietly loose fitting clothing came up to the door.
"Oi. Makoto. There uh, there seems to be a legitimate issue here, you should open up," Rin suggested, having seen the damage to the woman's husband's boat at the docks.
It was a silly little gift, but it was what he could afford with being in college and minimally employed. "Hey, Haru," he called softly, sitting across from his boyfriend at the breakfast table."Happy Valentine's day." He slid a small box across the table which contained a small leather bracelet with a start charm on it. "Until we can save up for the real thing."
Haru was still so far out of it that he hadn't even made his normal mackerel. Instead, there were scrambled eggs in front of him and he'd let himself make some bacon and toast. It was a much more normal breakfast than usual but Haru didn't much care, slowly eating it.
"Huh?" He reached over and opened the box, almost choking on the food in his mouth. "M-makoto, it's wonderful..."
It was much better than the one that he'd found at least. Haru got up and dug around in his bookbag, producing a little box as well. Inside was a silver charm bracelet, a little orca on it.
"Haruuuuuu!" Makoto smiled, holding out a small bag of home made chocolates.
"Makotooooo." Haru mimicked him before he realized what was in his hand, quietly accepting the bag and holding a hand up. "I've something for you as well."
He returned to the kitchen and handed over a bag as well. They were chocolate donuts inside and a few little cakes and pastries he'd attempted to make.

As it turned out, Haru was not a fan of the corset. Her mother was almost crushing her ribs while trying to tie the thing around her, making Haru huff as each of the ties were made. It was long sleeved and skirt dragged onto the floor along with the long sleeves, but it was soft. She ran her fingers over the front, the chest of it being gathered at the top and bottom, allowing more room for her to breathe.
"Stop your complaining, Haru. This is beneficial for all of us," her mother chastised. She'd heard this all week and Haru couldn't find it in her to really care about how it would help the others, she didn't want it. "Besides, this marriage will allow our kingdoms to come together and there won't be anymore needless fighting. Do you understand how many of your father's men have died in recent years?"
"Yes, mother. I... I don't love Sousuk--"
"Honey. I didn't love your father when I first met him either, but you'll learn to love Sousuke, he's an honorable man. He'll take good care of you and, if worst comes to worst, you'll have your personal guard there to defend you." Her mother didn't know that Haru wanted her personal guard to be far more personal with her but the girl sighed, letting the hand maidens brush and braid her hair into intricate patterns on her head before putting a silver crown with sapphires on her head. It was a small one, just barely a tiara, but it signified her status as princess, her mother's being gold with rubies, just like her father's.
"Oh mother, please. You know that's a far--"
Before she could even say the word, a hand flew out for her face, the stinging slap causing her to gasp, one hand covering her cheek. "Watch your tongue, young lady. This marriage is far more important than your feelings. You will bury them and you will give Sousuke children, there will be no more of that from you."
Haru fought off the urge to cry and let her mother leave the room, passing right by her guard, her hand maidens making certain that the red on her cheek couldn't be seen. "Tend to her, Makoto. I've no more words for her," she heard her mother sigh, likely shaking her head.

If there was one thing that annoyed Haru, it was being on phone duty. Sitting near the phone, his feet up on the desk, the raven flipped through the yaoi manga he was reading. It was absolute trash, stereotypical seme/uke stuff, and it annoyed him. Honestly, it would have been worse if the plot were bad.
When the phone went off next to him, he picked it up. "Thank you for calling Eyecandy. Please hold." He pressed the button and put the phone back on the cradle without another word, blue eyes still roving over the pages. When he reached the next chapter, he bookmarked the page.
Picking the phone back up, Haru finally took his feet off of the desk and pulled the keyboard to himself. "Thank you for holding. This is Haruka, how may I help you today?"
