STAR TREK III: THE SEARCH FOR SPOCK. Now, of course, I can’t PROVE this...but I’d put down good money that Shatner and/or Harve Bennett tried to score with the sheer and scantily-clad Vulcan handmaidens from the final Fal-Tor-Pan sequence. I just believe it in my soul. #startrek #searchforspock #kirk #williamshatner #harvebennett #faltorpan #vulcanchicks https://www.instagram.com/p/B-vRHaQBxkr/?igshid=1g80jl11ru3x1
Harve Bennett dead at 84
Sadly, five days after Leonard Nimoy's passing, the man credited with saving the 'Star Trek' film franchise, Harve Bennett, has died. Bennett lured Nimoy back to play Spock "one last time" by promising him a glorious death scene. Spock, of course, did not stay dead and Nimoy finally embraced the character.
Bennett also produced the TV series 'Time Trax,' 'The Mod Squad.' 'The Six Million Dollar Man' and 'The Bionic Woman,' as well as the miniseries 'Rich Man, Poor Man' and the TV movie 'A Woman Called Golda' starring Ingrid Bergman. Bennett was 84.
