'Suits' season 6 spoilers: Donna–Harvey romantic relationship may not happen.

Shippers of Harvey (Gabriel Macht) and Donna (Sarah Rafferty) may be disheartened to find out that the highly anticipated season 6 of "Suits" will put the characters' potential romantic relationship at the back burner, hopefully just for the meantime.

As season 5 ended on a shocking note — with Mike (Patrick J. Adams) pleading guilty to fraud and being sentenced to prison — the other partners and employees of Pearson Specter Litt decided to leave the firm. Talking to TV Line during the show's recent premiere event, Rafferty mused that they do not have time to focus on the personal connection between Harvey and Donna.

"We're not going to dig too much into emotions between [Donna and Harvey]. They're really busy working s*** out, and they're not going to have their confusing relationship status get in the way of their goals," she stated.

Instead, it appears that Cupid's arrow may find its way to Louis (Rick Hoffman). Rafferty quipped that if it indeed happens, Donna will be the perfect wingman for him. "She's the superhero of wingmen, so she gets to put on her cape and help him out," she added.

Earlier this year, the 43-year-old actress told Digital Spy that having the Donna and Harvey as a couple seems like a real good idea but she feels it may never happen in the series. "I'll never say never — it could be amazing and we have great writers who could create that scenario for us. But it's not something that I see happening. Though I could be wrong — I've been wrong before!" she teased.

She further explained that the two may be confused as to how they really feel about each other — if it something that mostly lives in their subconscious or a familial kind of love reserved for brother and sister.

On a related note, a new promotional video reveals Mike encountering the harsh reality of his current situation that involves new interactions and threats from other characters. These include a prison counsellor (Malcolm-Jamal Warner) and fellow inmate Kevin Miller (Erik Palladino).

The featurette also has Harvey apologizing to Jessica (Gina Torres) and Louis for the mess he started, while Rachel (Meghan Markle) reminisces about her relationship with Mike.

Season 6 of "Suits" is slated to premiere on Wednesday, July 13 at 9 p.m. ET.
