My first hash run today.
I went on my first Hash Run last night!
It was a bit intense but definitely a lot of fun. We ran through the woods and there were a few times where I thought I might trip, fall, slide, die, etc. but I came out alive! I had to walk for a good bit of it (especially the uphill hikes) but there were beer checks as well as a jello shot stop to help get you through. At the end there was a bunch of drinks, snacks, and a ton of singing. I had to enter the middle of the circle twice and attempt to down my beer but all in all it was a good time. There are some odd rules you have to follow and definitely a wide range of characters but it was fun. I'm hoping to do it again soon but the person that invited me is going out of town soon so we'll see if I have the guts to go alone.
I ran my first hash on Friday! So awesome!! A drinking club with a running problem. I LOVE IT.
"Race" Report: Freezing Cold Hash Run - Edison, NJ 5.43 mi
My first hash run...yikes..where to begin?!? An amazing time with lots of members of our running club and a fun group of hashers. Open bar started at 7AM with drink machines and jello shots replacing the usual pre-race carbo loading. We set off into the great unknown after a rousing version of the Star Spangled Banner by trumpet. Lots of confusion, pricker bushes, trampolines, mud, stream crossings, shot/beer hydration stations, sledding, more mud, hills, jungle gym/swings, rocks, roads, backyards, business parking lots, highways, mud, more shots, and general mayhem was had by all. A little over 5 miles and two hours later we emerged out of the woods and back to a nice spread of food and more open bar.
The event concluded with a post-race party at a local watering hole, complete with rousing songs, interesting awards, free draft beer, and flamingo chugging. NOT the usual race report :)
Hellow Movember: Part 3 This is my last post regarding Red Dress Run pictures :3. hope all's satisfied photo courtesy: Small eyes's camera
Hellow, Movember! beside the mustaches and the beards, it is the time for the annual red dress run! This year's run located in Wawondula last Monday, where the wet market was the point A and the town streets & boulevards were the track. The hashers that came three times more than the usual weeks, and the stunning costumes and make ups of the runners were some kind of attraction for the locals, they couldn't stop taking pictures of us. yes, we're that awesome *lempar sendal These are just a few I could gather from Nelson's phone, There will be more to come (some wore nice dresses too), bear with me!
