oh.my god have i ever told you that. i finally graduated from uni with degree in linguistics a few months ago.
and because my main focus was translation my graduation thesis was about translating neologisms. and because neologisms include slang, i basically ON PURPOSE. OUT OF MY FREE WILL. included words like skibidi, rizz and gyatt and then defended my thesis in front of commission and 20(ish? people) with a straight face. and got the highest grade.
this wasnt my whole topic btw, but i made sure theres ONE FULL page of me debating the translation of those three words.
my whole thesis ended up being 98?ish? pages. i locked tf in, i wrote it all in around 2-3 months.
after that i havent been able to put 2 words together teehee
