80% of the omori fandom has an insane issue with misogyny that i have never ever seen be spoken about or cared for and it Enrages me. Every single girl ive met in this fandom has been ridiculed for absolutely NOTHING or complete misunderstandings more times than i can count. But if other people do the exact same thing, people either wont care, will agree with them, or will make lots of effort to understand what they really meant and not instantly jump to harassing them and calling them annoying, stupid, and spoiled like they would with a girl they just Dont Like For No Reason. i cant speak for other people but i know the way ive been seen on here the entire time is largely because of this. I post my collection and instead of people seeing it as an innocent thing im passionate about like men, people think im a spoiled hoarder using her daddys money and not that i work hard for my own money and things cause everyone knows thats something only big strong men can do!! which i do and always have done my parents do not contribute to what i do but Not ever has someone assumed that im the one buying my own things. if i try to stand up for myself against rude misconceptions of me then im seen as an argumentative emotional bitch who must be on her period and not brave like a man who stands up for himself, if i joke about character being hot then im a "gross pervert who doesnt understand their character and only sexualizes them" and not that Hey maybe someone can enjoy a character and also think that they are hot, while men can talk about how badly they wanna fuck female character #854853 24/7 and its accepted and agreed upon by everyone, if i try to talk about achievements people think im trying to "flex on everyone" and not that i want to feel accomplished for once and share that, people take every single thing i say through the lens of me being annoying and stupid for no reason and wont listen when i try to speak up for myself (but will listen if a man talks for me.Great) Ive always been hated by a bunch of people on here and i dont think thats something they shouldnt be allowed to do. Obviously everyone has different opinions and some of them are gonna be negative, i am not above that. But when i ask why, they tell me they "cant point to a reason" or its just complete lies theyve made up about me because they see me as less for this reason. Its always stupid misogynistic misconceptions. I dont care if im hated. I just want people to have a reason to hate me that ive actually DONE, instead of having to make up so much bullshit about me and spreading it everywhere that people will blindly believe because they have nothing else to justify the way they act about it. 99% of my experience in the fandom is that I do something or joke about something innocent, everyone hates me for it and tells me im disgusting, the next day a man does it and the same people telling me i sucked are in their comment sections talking about how they agree and that theyre so hilarious for it. For the most part none of this ever happened to me til after i detransitioned back to being a girl. and there is No other girl ive spoken to here who hasnt had the exact same experience of people just tending to hate them for everything they do and not men who do the same. Even all the female characters in the game like polly, the slime girls, sweetheart, etc are reduced to nothing but "Hot Sex Toy Woman" by the fandom and like. Sure who gives a shit about adult characters being sexualized.But its one thing when thats all anyone does because they dont see even fictional women as anything but a rack and hole and that they dont have personality or that if they do, its annoying and not worth being listened to, and then attack women for finding any male character attractive because they wrongfully view it as something degrading because thats what they intend when doing it to women. Basically anything within the fandom is excusable as long as its not a girl whos done it, even if the act is completely harmless on both sides and shouldnt have to be excused in the first place
And as always ill probably be seen as Drama queen complaining bitch ass for this post but Man you guys need to get a grip and treat women like humans. Youd only know that its worth talking about so much once it happens to you your whole life. I mostly see it happen on twitter (whos surprised) but as always it spreads over to this website too. Women are people who are capable of doing things with good intentions
