Exactly six months until Mockingjay Part 2 and we have ZERO stills, ZERO trailers, and ZERO promotion for the movie Thanks Lionsgate

This next song I would like to dedicate to someone whose actions always remind me of these wonderful lyrics. Lionsgate, this one is for you!
*sings way louder and angrier than necessary*
That's me in the corner That's me in the spotlight Losing my reeeeeeeeligiooooooooooon
Just came back from an informational session for Lionsgate Entertainment, sponsored by my alma mater's Career Center. It was done by Shawn Matiossian, their Senior Manager of Talent Recruitment, a very nice and candid guy in an Insurgent T-shirt. I was one of only two alumni there (and thankfully not the only lit major), but it was still very informative. I have seen several of Lionsgate's films, including most recently The Age of Adaline, and have always been interested in film. (In fact, I almost minored in Film Studies instead of French). They do TV too, including Mad Men and Orange Is The New Black. I'd definitely have to give it some thought if I wanted to work there (though I like their company atmosphere, as Shawn described it, and since I like the beach, I probably wouldn't mind living in Santa Monica, where they're based). My best bet, since I lack entertainment experience, is probably to try for their "floater pool," where you get to try a bunch of different departments. (Surprisingly, this is actually a full-time position, with benefits and everything). As a writer, development would probably be the area I'd be best in (that's the department he seemed to recommend for us lit majors) but working on the set might be fun too. Bonus: Shawn brought a bunch of swag, and thus I snagged a free Insurgent poster with Four on it. Yay! Thank you Lionsgate for providing this learning opportunity for those of us who don't live in L.A.! hashtaglionsgate divergentofficial
