Final reflection

Looking back at this semester, I have to say that this class was pretty interesting. When the semester first started, I thought that this class was going to be boring. After the first project though, I started to realize that the class was pretty interesting. I also started to notice a change in the way that I started to think about things. I started having a creative mindset. I liked learning about the creative process because it can be applied in lots of different situations. I liked this class overall and thought that it was really interesting.

Reflection

This week my team put the finishing touches on our presentation. We also had the chance to watch the other teams present. I found some topics interesting. The topic that I thought was the most interesting was the one on how drug addiction is a mental disease. I found it interesting how the team talked about how we should stop putting addicts in jail and help them instead. The video that they put on in the beginning of their presentation was also moving and made me want to watch the rest of the presentation.

Reflection

This work my team made three low fi prototypes that we presented to a panel of our fellow students. Our project is on plastic recycling and we came up with three ideas of how we could make more recycle. I found the peer evaluations nice because it helped us see things that we were either missing or needed to be fixed. We also got lots of perspectives on ideas which helped us decide what we were going to change or leave.

Reflection

It is hard to believe that there are only three weeks left of the semester. This week was a very busy week due to the fact that we had to work hard to come up with ideas for our project. The exact project that we are working on is how to recycle plastic. This seemed like an easy project at first, but it turned out to be harder than we thought. We had to come up with creative ways to make companies recycle their plastic waste. So far the project is going smoothly and we have some great ideas so everything is going to go well hopefully.

Reflection 10

I really liked the presentation that we had this week. I found it interesting how his group started out as a small video game club and grew it to a non profit company. I also liked how he was trying to educate people using a phone game. When I first heard him describe the game, I thought that it was going to be a boring game. It looked really interesting though when he actually showed the prototype. It not only looked interesting, but it was also informative. It showed me the fact that games can be both informative and fun at the same time.

Reflection 8

I really liked watching the presentations this week. They were really interesting.  I liked seeing how all of the groups talked. Everyone had great ideas and the feedback that were given were great. This just shows how great ideas can be when groups come to present one idea.

Reflection 9

On monday, my group and I worked on our project and finished up our presentation. We worked on fixing up our prototype and making it presentable. We also made a short video showing how our prototype would work in real life. We also made sure that everyone knew what they were doing for our presentation. Doing this will end up making the presentation flow smoothly.

Reflection 8

This week we worked on prototyping. I found the in class activity interesting because I like how we had to go from our designs to an actual prototype. Prototyping was more challenging than I thought that it would be. In the end, my team came up with two different prototypes. We are planning on testing them both out and seeing which one works better. I also liked the presentation that we had this week. I found the topic of city planning interesting. I also liked learning about the South Loop and the plans that the city of Bloomington has for that area. The exercise that we did at the end of the presentation was both informative and somewhat entertaining.
