STAR TREK: ENTERPRISE 3.17 HATCHERY aired FEBRUARY 25th 2004
Happy Hatchery Day @tpols
I'm doing my part to celebrate @tpols wonderful enterprise holiday, hatchery day, please accept this extremely silly fanfic as my contribution. I had so much fun writing it!
Title: the Xindi Truce
ao3 link
Rating: G
Word count: 386
Summary:
Shran sees another article about the Xindi truce that Archer had brokered, a photo taking up most of the page. “Yes, all the quadrants are abuzz. It was a great victory for him, if not a military one.” Talas bares her sharp teeth, explaining like she's hitting the center of a practice target perfectly: “An earther gossip magazine has leaked the means with which he accomplished it. Apparently he imprinted upon orphaned insectoid Xindi children and, once the chemical effect wore off, insisted on protecting and raising them regardless. Nineteen of them, it seems, and one poised to join Starfleet as an ensign soon. The Xindi were very impressed.” [or, Archer saves the day by adopting the Xindi hatchlings.]
Trigger warnings: some minor mentions of anti alien bigotry as is typical in star trek canon
