Adam Green’s ArieScope Pictures (Hatchet, Holliston, Frozen) has released new Victor Crowley and ArieScope enamel pins and patches. Pins are $12 and patches are $10; several combination offers are also available.

NECA will release the first toy of Victor Crowley from Hatchet in August. The 8" clothed action figure is fully poseable and includes hatchet and belt sander. It comes in clamshell packaging.

Victor Crowley (2017)

I remember quite enjoying Hatchet (2006), but by Hatchet III (2013), I was kinda over the series. But here we are again! And you know what? Maybe it’s because I had low expectations, but I actually kinda enjoyed this one. I recognise that it’s not a great film - the story is very simplistic, the characters are fairly hollow, and it’s clear that they didn’t have much of a budget. But, I don’t know, it seemed to take itself even less seriously than the previous entries. I actually found it to be a funny movie, and that made all the difference, I think. I didn’t care that it wasn’t trying that hard elsewhere, because it was fun. There are some amusing and gory kills, as expected. I didn’t really enjoy Victor Crowley himself - but then, I’m not sure I ever have. They left the door open for another one of these, and I say, why not? But if it happens, they do need to change things up somehow.
