the real leonardo da vinci was probably gay, so making him a women so their love for men is now made ok because she’s a woman and its het is… questionable.

not to mention as much as i love her, its hard to deny the narrative can be kinda gross about her being trans. theres dantes’s nasty little comment in his event, roman and the others treating her like a weirdo, in one interlude da vinci says her gender is “mona lisa” which i kind of like, but you know the mra types are already making a million stale attack helicopter jokes out of, iirc i think the early chapters even had roman using male pronouns for her? its kind of a mess, and could be a lot better imo. Still love her tho.
